Smith, Rose and Caulker all in the England U21 defence tonight. Nice to see. All started really well too, particularly the full backs. Fantastic cross from Rose a second ago that Ince should have headed home. Townsend on the bench.

I watched the second half. Rose actually played quite well. Caulker was Caulker, pretty assured. Townsend played quite well when he came on. He actually played some really nice little passes in and around the box.

Smith is a really neat and tidy little player. Reminds me a bit of Steve Carr.
