Aren't bothered about Silverware?...clearly ENIC's fault that we've reached 20 semi finals since 1991 and only won one measly cup in that time, totally ENIC's fault that Poch decided to play Son at LWB against Chelsea despite having Davies on the bench, likewise their fault as well we lost to a shite Portsmouth team in the FA Cup in 2009, I could go on but you get the point...

This is what you call twisting the narrative to suit ones agenda, why everyone needs to I have no idea, it's almost as if some Spurs fans have anti ENIC/Levy tourettes and keep repeating ENIC out but have no idea why they're saying it.

Im not arguing with any of that. Still doesn’t mean that ENIC are interested in Silverware

Wigan won an FA Cup. It is possible to win a bit of silverware, however much you spend or however you run a club

ENIC are an investment company. All their decisions are based on growing their investment

The money is in playing CL football season in, season out. Corporate entertainment and NFL

Their game is most definitely not about Glory however many times you put it up in neon lights around the ground

Which chairman or board is putting their focus on winning a domestic cup?

I agree 100% he had to go but I’m also 80% of the opinion that his bed was made by others
He'd lost the dressing room mate, not sure how that could be down to others.
Are you suggesting the players all collectively decided to down tools because of under investment in the squad for a couple of windows?

Was Sanchez a purchase from strength? Aurier and Moura the same year too?

Sanchez was brought to eventually replace Toby, not necessarily to improve the team at that time. After reading some of the ITK I don't think Poch wanted Aurier and Moura they were players that PSG didn't want and deals were Levy could get them on the cheap.

Look at the teams that win titles, they buy players that are improvements on their starting 11 which improves the squad.

Poch had given up and had to go.

Why had he given up is the question?

OK, I hear you. But at that time for us to buy players to improve our starting 11, we would have had to sell players from our starting 11.

Summer 2017, who would you have sold to fund our spending spree.

Coutinho didn't cover all of Liverpools VDV/Allison fees but it definitely made both of those purchases possible.

So you'd be happy if we weren't buying right now?

We get that you don't like ENIC and as a result you twist absolutely everything they do into the negative.

You’ve literally just twisted my post into an attack on me.

Because you can’t argue with the points I made!

After selling Coutinho. If they didn't get that kind of money, I strongly doubt they would have gotten both these additions.

Fair point

Maybe Poch wanted to get rid of Eriksen as soon as he refused to sign a new contract?

Maybe Poch wanted to get rid of Toby/Jan/Rose etc etc....

Maybe he wasn’t backed like Klopp was?

Ok so we shouldn't buy then? Shoudn't try and add creativity, and shouldn't try to increase our prospects of CL football?

I am not quite sure what you think we should be doing

No that’s obviously not the point I’m making.

Read what I posted.

Because players who'd bought into his philosophy for 5 years without winning anything became unmotivated?

Look I get that we needed to rebuild, but the choice Levy had to make was to bankroll it under Poch who'd won nothing, or to bankroll it under a manager who has won the fucking lot.
I can see why the decision was made.

I agree, we would have had to sell to buy, but wasn't that the year Eriksen signed his new contract? And was rumored to have advised that would be his last one? He should have been sold in the summer of 2018 (I know different windows), his value wasn't higher than it was then.

Im not really arguing with you but imo Mourinho was really only the 1 manager Levy could have brought in because ultimately Levy fucked it and Jose’s a buffer between himself and us

I agree mate. There would have been some very unhappy people on here and around the place had we sold him then but it has to be done sometimes.

Classic stick your fingers in your ears response, you don't want to argue because you don't want to hear it.
