What I don’t get is why wouldn’t they sell now and cash in. He’s basically said it’s all about adding equity. Well how much more does he realistically think he can add ? There’s got to be somewhere for a new owner to take it or why would they bother buying it. Right now just seems the perfect time to sell because there’s still more a new owner could do to take it to the next level which is actually a European super club. Unless he’s got something up his sleeve like an NFL franchise.

I think they also want to develop the hotel and residential buildings? Make it a 1 trillion pound company! ;)

TBF that's pretty obvious, would be the same at almost all clubs.

It will be interesting, it hasn't greatly stopped Arsenal tbh. They'd bought Lacazette, Aubameyang and paid £70m for a single player whilst out of the CL.

One thing I will say though is that even when making the CL, it's rarely felt like we've 'spent like a team who's in the CL' so the window will probably just feel the same as others.

Considering the state we're in now in terms of the football being played on the pitch, I actually don't think we need the very highest grade of players out there. It was different before when we were one or two players away from completing the picture but I personally think right now we just need the right players for a particular system and to start functioning as a unit. Look at Chelsea today and within their lineup on paper I'd probably say I'd only have 2 of their players in Rudiger and Azpilicueta (although I've been very impressed by that Gilmour) in our starting 11 yet they functioned better as a team than we have for ages.

I wonder how our accounts are going to look when all the extra events get cancelled due to coronavirus

Will have a huge impact. We'll have to sell to buy. Could cost us a 2nd striker and might need to recall Rose

If we can get a good deal on bringing Giroud in then that might also happen but I wouldn’t buy him for anything less than 2 pints of lager and a packet of pork scratchings

Also you’ve got to factor in the price of diesel during the pandemic and the cost of filling Joe's Yacht

People think it’s easy running an elite football club but there are so many factors (excuses) to take into account.

Seriously must keep Daniel up at nights working out strategic planning (taking the piss out of us)

I’ll always admire Levy for getting the stadium built. That was some achievement that not many people could have got done.

But he sounds like a broken record in those Trust minutes. The same old messages, no acceptance of any mistakes made in the last three years. I honestly think the club is sleepwalking into the wilderness.
That bold part is the scariest message that I took away from reading those minutes. The entire tone of the Club's minuted responses suggests that they barely even acknowledge the existence of the concern that many fans have that we are going backwards in our trajectory as a club, and to the extent that they do acknowledge it they deny that they could have done anything differently or better than they did. It's mind-boggling.

I mean, Levy never really tells the Trust anything in any detail beyond procedural stuff like the stadium and ticketing. The notes always give the impression that he’s going through the motions giving them the bare minimum in answers.

Maybe in private there has been reviews and soul-searching as to how we so badly screwed the pooch from such a position of strength. Somehow, I doubt it, though.

I'm responding to the thst notes. He said no change. When we don't have champs league it's about 100m difference in revenue.

Divide that money over the 4 windows we didn't spend and it's not the same pic.

might be because we haven't been in the stadium for 4 years

I wouldn’t joke about Coronavirus impact on us there’s a meeting today which could well see games played behind closed doors. Us and Arsenal are probably the 2 clubs most heavily weighted towards gate receipts. 5 games could cost us £25-30m unless they have some kind of insurance. You’d hope the worst of it will be over by first concert end of May. But Saracens game could be in trouble and knowing their luck this year probably will be. At least we have CL money this season Arsenal could end up with a £50m hole in their Budget with early EL exit as well.

You weren't supposed to notice :D
I thought it was Gio or Bruno not both. That doesn't make sense because according to the itk in this site a deal was nixed for Bruno when the Gio deal finally got the green light ...

(I posted this in response to some one else)

I can’t see anyway Ndombele Lo Celso Bruno would all have been bought was always 2 from 3. Ndombele was bought as a CM. Lo Celso was predominantly bought to play in a 3 behind Kane or Pochettino even had the idea of 433. So where would Bruno have played you’d have to dump Dele which was never gonna happen.

The ITK is still there.

This was all based on Eriksen staying. He's gone and hasn't been replaced.

So the two transfers weren't linked even though Fernandes had a medical lined up here and then it was off when Gio confirmation happened?

Well, that's awkward.
The Fernandes deal didn't happen because Eriksen stayed.

He's now gone. Unless we've signed two Lo Celso' s.

One in the summer and one in January.

I must have misunderstood the summer transfer window itk completely then.
