Assuming Ferreira win that's probably the hardest draw we could have had from our grouping, but we're still heavily favoured. They came 5th in Portugal last season, the best of the rest after their big four, but a considerable 11 points behind 4th-placed Braga and 23 behind 3rd-placed Benfica. They've made a European group stage once before in 13-14 when they finished 3rd in Portugal (Lisbon had a dreadful year in mid-table, and they finished ahead of Braga by two points). On that occasion they lost a Champions League playoff 8-3 to Zenit, and then in the Europa lost home and away to Fiorentina and Dnipro and drew both games against Pandurii.
It is a tougher draw but I know the coach and his team who helped them get this position and they have all left for Vitoria. So that's been a big blow for them.

They didn't finish the season strongly either.

You know it’s bad when the thread title has to specify which country the host city of the final is in.

Still, a game against Larne would be awesome. Have we ever faced Northern Irish opposition before?

We played Coleraine in the Cup Winners Cup in 82/83 and won 7-0 on aggregate.

(I love Wikipedia)

Obviously no fans allowed in ground but allowed to travel to Belfast or Porto?

Yes. In the first round of the 1982-83 Cup Winners Cup, we beat Coleraine 4-0 at home and 3-0 away.

Porto surely depends on whatever travel and quarantine rules HM government and the Portuguese government have by the time the match is played.

I assume Belfast isn't a problem as it's domestic?

I think Portugal are amber so no good but rumours might go to green.

And no idea with Belfast. Not sure how it works.

Indeed. Currently for Portugal, you need to be fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks before you arrive to avoid a 2 week quarantine. You need to take a private test 48 hours before you leave the UK, do another test before you leave Portugal, and a third test 2 days after you come back - but no need to quarantine if you're fully vaccinated. Still doesn't sound worth it to travel to a football game you can't get an away ticket for!

I was in Portugal (both Porto and Lisbon) last month and it was easy enough getting in and out of the country. Even easier now there's no quarantine requirement upon return.

Belfast is in the common travel area, can travel there and back without even having to take a covid test

Any idea when tickerts go on sale or pricing, should make it as cheap as possible allow fans who cant afford league tickets to see a game

I'd assume not until we at least know who we're playing against. And yep, they'll need to be cheap to get any kind of decent attendance at all, although I expect it'll still be an embarrassment.
