It’s simple if we are backing him do it, if we ain’t just get rid now I can’t be bothered doing the okicoki.

Either get him out now, then we know the club ain’t investing and get Poch back so we can just enjoy playing football and know he will work with the project players
The football we played under Poch was terrible the cl season and before he was sacked. We never turned up in the big games and he was so stubborn according to sources he only wanted his player not alternates. Poch has had his chance and wouldn’t want him back. Back Conte and Levy needs to stop getting involved. Pay the money to improve the team, take losses on players that aren’t good enough and start acting more like Chelsea and Liverpool - identify the targets and pay the money stop haggling.

A quote from Conte today:

"I always say the truth in my life. I don't want to create illusion. The club knows very well what I think and the club is 100 percent, they think the same."

Just to clear up any confusion about whether Conte and the Club are on the same page. Sounds like Conte, Paratici and Levy are all in agreement with how the club should move forward and there are no issues between them. Straight from the horse's mouth.
See this is interesting.

What happens if DL goes to Lewis and says - we need Conte to walk and Paratici to go too as he us fuming...... but it's OK I've got Poch at the other end of the phone? Would he - and his daughter who we seemingly know wants us to spend more and push the boat out - REALLY be happy that Levy is pushing one of the worlds best coaches off a cliff and going back to an old flame? I'm not so sure. Terrible for the clubs image and profile.

And I and many other fans would not be placated by a punt on Poch, when the squad we have does NOT suit him and that Conte can and will succeed here if backed in the next windows!!

If Poch wasn't a free agent this wouldn't even be a conversation, Levy would be forced to back Conte IMO.

Poch coming back would presumably mean the end of Paratici, as Poch won't work under someone like that. So Levy will be back to his rightful position of de facto dof

My problem with conte is his rigidity I’d have more time for him if he even just tried something different but he doesn’t and won’t, so ignorant!

Rumours, and they are only rumours is that he will walk this week if not given assurances.

My opinion is that Levy has his cheap out so will just let it happen.
If that's his attitude then don't let him walk, tell him his services are no longer required. WE're bigger than some Italian manger with a decnt cv. Fuck's sake, drop the hero worship.

Well it wasn’t all rosey in his first season if my memory serves me correctly so it’s a good job we didn’t pull the trigger on him then.

people seem to be forgetting the free flowing attacking football we played at the back end of last season away at Leeds, Norwich, Villa, Leicester, and home to the scum, etc.

Let’s give this guy time and backing and assess then. I keep saying it but the squad really is poor and Conte knows that. He probably only trusts 7/8 of the current crop and I’m with him on that.
I am not anti Conte, the situation just needs sorting out. I think he could get more out of the players he has at his disposal.

Clearly everyone has forgotten January - November in Poch’s last season. The football was even worse than it is now. We were atrocious and the CL run papered over the cracks.
Oh I remember it mate. I wanted Poch gone. We were terrible. But if it’s true what’s been said by itk then we run with it. Maybe it works this time round. I know watching the football this season has been utter trash. Yes we’ve got some rubbish to get shot of but we won’t win anything if the manager keeps doing the same stupid things. So what choice do we have. Rather not buy more dull midfielders that we will get stuck with. ?‍♂️?‍♂️

The worst bit is a lot of fans (especially the ones that go to the games) will be loving the return of Poch. As soon as the "He's magic you know" songs start, Levy will have gotten away with it again. He always gets away with it and we are stuck in a never ending cycle.

I think it is inevitable that Conte is gone in the next few weeks which is a real shame as I believed he was the one to finally revolutionise us.

Paratici will be next and Levy will be back deciding our targets. Kane will leave and we will sign N'Kane from a dodgy Ligue 1 team.

I bet you Daniel is already on the phone to Poch, always works out easy for Levy!

Why did they hire conte if they were never going to back him?
Unless it’s to look good to the supporters

This is my biggest issue.

As much as it would hurt, if you told me tomorrow that we're selling our aging players while they have value and we're a club that will sign young up and coming hungry players, play pressing attacking football then I'd say OK as long as the manager, clubs decisions, and supporters were all on the same page.

likewise if they came out and said we're fully committed to Conteball then I'd expect the same commitment.

They hired Conte, yet won't buy in fully to his version of a "project". Great job convincing him to come, but now trying to force him to become Poch is the most annoying thing to me. He hasn't been as unreasonable as I've thought since joining, and although he's not fully blameless my issue still lives with the mixed signals and lack of club identity.

It really is time now to either shit or get off the pot. And that applies to both parties. We can't back a manager that won't be here in 6 months, equally I can see why Conte won't commit unless he is given assurances of backing. It seems like they both need to have an open and honest conversation.

I believe he will resign this week. And Levy will happily let him go. Danny doesn’t care about ‘who dares wins’. He’s all about ‘who is frugal win sometimes’.

As for poor Conte, I also can’t imagine his squad enjoy the lack of belief he has in them. They look effing miserable at the moment. And yes, that is much to do with playing like cack. But always hearing from the coach how bang average you all are, doesn’t exactly scream “Once more into the breach”, does it?
He has praised them a lot at times too.

I just think we have to back the manager. I agree he’s made mistakes and this seasons football hasn’t been good to watch, but we can’t keep blaming managers, sacking them after 18 months, giving Dier, Davies, Winks, Sessegnon more lifelines. We need to back Conte and let him shape the squad how he sees fit. My Chelsea supporting acquaintances assure me the football they played under Conte was the best they’ve ever seen, so it’s not like boring football is his philosophy, we just need to sign the right personnel to optimise the strategy for us.

There are no guarantees but I’d much rather Conte than revert to Poch as at least Conte won’t tolerate Levy’s bullshit meddling
