Get well soon Antonio and for the time being "in Stellini we trust"... I know it was only one game and not exactly comparable, but when he stepped up during Conte's enforced touchline ban we beat Marseille 2-1 at their place and sealed CL knock out qualification by topping the group, so here's hoping that's a good omen....

Some years back I was taken seriously ill and everybody at work rallied around and were marvellously supportive. I had the opportunity to medically retire at that point but the encouragement I received made all the difference and reinforced that it was where I wanted to be and to pay back some of the kindness. Sure, it would be easy for Conte to use this to provide an exit after all that has happened and is going on. Handled well by him, and the Club, though, it may just be a start of working closer together.

Who am I kidding, it’s football….

Don’t worry lads just one misplaced pass and he’ll be back on the touch line screaming his lungs out before you can say Emerson

Imagine not having backup depth in his position, amateur level stuff

*on a serious note, us sticking by him through the difficult times such as this might actually end up making our bond with him much closer. Conte is an emotional guy and these types of acts do effect him. It could be the exact opposite effect that some people are saying (that he'll want to leave etc.) Obviously this is a hyper optimistic take and probably everyone else is right, but who knows.

Feels like the response to this is a turning point for the club and it's future

As my profile shows I am far from conte’s biggest fan, but this is just horrible news. Especially with a young family at home as well. Hoping all the best for him, these things can happen so quickly.

The shit this bloke has gone through the last 6 months would knock it out of anyone. Not even factoring in the pressure he faces just managing us.

Hope he goes away and recuperates with family. Deserves a few weeks peace.

Get well soon gaffer!

Hopefully the crowd gives him a lot of support at the weekend. Remind him that this club can be a family (when it's not busy trying to get rid of Uncle Daniel!).

Hopefully he'll come back refreshed and fired up and lead us to top 4 and the FA Cup.

Holy cow. It's been a rather grim tale of off-field woe for him since joining.

The poor guy needs a break one way or another.

Good to see that he's through the OP already.
With everything he's gone through, either he's finished her or he's insanely connected to the club. Until we know fanbase will feel in limbo.

why will we be in limbo ?

We won't feel that we have a direction until we know Conte's future. Going all in together with Conte is one way to heaven, starting fresh with someone else is another. Until it's made clear fanbase will be toxic and unpleasant.

I think it's clear - that we have Conte for the rest of this season. And, that is enough to get people to pull in the same direction.

We can revisit next season once we get to the summer - but for this season, we know what we have, and what we have to do.

As others have said, get well soon gaffer & take it easy.

I can picture the scene.

Dr. "Hello Antonio, what seems to be the problem"?
Antonio. "I've got a bad side".
Dr. "we know that, but how are you feeling"?

Go well, fella,

Just show how much he means to the fans (some not so much) Shout his name at the game and Levi out again. Let him know we weren't thrilled with his transfer market.
