My very unfit wife had keyhole surgery for gallbladder removal, into hospital at about 9am out the same day about 8pm , a bit groggy but was able to recuperate at home . Fortunately NHS paid for her to be operated on at a private hospital as Whipps Cross was too busy and the surgeon worked at both hospitals.
What Conte can't do is jump about and do any manual work for awhile, so he might be back sooner than we think sitting quietly on the bench.

PS Conte is a lot fitter person than my wife and on the evening of the surgery she was able to walk , climb stairs etc albeit with pain killers , if he has had similar surgery I expect him back maybe in the directors box with orders to sit still quite soon.
