Levy can sack Conte but who is going to get rid of Levy. As far as I can see according to Wiki, ENIC paid a total of £45 million for control of the club , Spurs are now worth something in the region of £3 billion and that is with winning just one trophy under ENIC ownership. If the stadium was half empty every home game maybe they would think of cashing in but it's not.
Fan power, it's real but for some reason we're too negative as a fanbase to believe we can create the change. If the Levy out chants kept going they would have to take notice.

Okay but there was at least one person back in 2018 who didn’t agree Chelsea had winning mentality.
For this is deeper than Conte. He'll go and we'll still not win anything under the next 5 coaches.

I can't understand why people disagree with him calling out that gutless display at the weekend. Did you think that was good? Did you think this whole year has been good? The players need to take the blame.

We need someone that prioritises winni g at the top and not someone that prioritises property development and concerts

Staying or going - Just Copy & Paste Brighton's setup FFS. Better yet poach all their scouting staff - better than going for 'win now' managers

That’s what I said wasn’t it.
What you're saying is exactly what is being bemoaned: that every problem with Tottenham Hotspur can be shown through the perceived footballing and moral failings of Eric Dier or Ben Davies or Davinson Sanchez or Harry Winks or Emerson Royal (oh no we like him now). It's toxic and I'm sick of it. If it's all a plan by the players to escape criticism then it's not working because I've seen those players be called every name under the sun, booed onto the pitch, and harangued by multiple managers. It's such lazy criticism.

If Conte truly wants to stay and will sign a big 4 year deal then I am ok with him being the one to break the cycle.

ideally the guy we back long term to break the cycle has a method of football that is more entertaining. I’d love a 4-5 year project with a manager that has unyielding attacking principles.

Matt law posting a few tweets this evening that kinda ring true to the issues, going back to the Rose/Jose meeting on the Amazon documentary, Rose essentially asking why he isn’t playing and at the end said he is going to speak to Levy about it…

If, and I literally have no idea if it happens, it’s an odd culture to have around the club, where the manager can be undermined by the chairman in that way, and probably goes part of the way why players have it cushty at spurs without being pushed too hard

I’m hearing Conte is livid re Benatov. Was all done, Fab was happy. Then Mansfield town snatched him from under our noses.

The whole season's been a disgrace, and I fully blame Conte. If we're putting ten men behind the ball whilst two goals up against the bottom team or barely attacking in a knockout match we have to win, that's not a manager prioritising winning.

Well not every problem, no. But you can’t argue that going from having Ben Davies and Eric Dier as backups, to having Ben Davies and Eric Dier as first choice players is not progression and is one of the issues as to why we concede so many goals.

You also can’t argue that having ndombele, Lo celso, winks, Rodon, etc on the books is causing us issues when trying to recruit players, either through a lack of spaces available or because we are still paying part of their salaries in some cases.

Or maybe you can and every problem can be pinned to Conte.

Breaking. Daniel Levy and the board will make a decision on the manager once they’ve finished more important matters. These being new hotels, partnerships, golf courses and another Beyoncé concert

I blame Levy for allowing us to get into this ridiculous situation. The blame being placed on the players is misguided in my view.

Bang on 💯!

Compare to Poch right… day 1 he turns Eric Dier from a CB to a makeshift RB who scores on his debut and then to a CDM because we don’t have an adequate one in our squad.

Poch was also the fullback whisperer, Walker and Rose used to get pelters from our fans before Poch got hold of them.

He turned £5mil 19yr old box to box CM dele alli into one of the best late 3rd man running CAM’s and into one of the best English midfielders at the time.

He improved Trippier and Davies, he adjusted Dembeles position who became a beast for us.

He gave Mason, Bentaleb, Winks, Kane the platform and belief to thrive playing in a young high energy style.

He made Eriksen our creative hub and turned Sonny into a world beater.

The best example… Moussa Sissoko! He asked for Winjaldum, he instead got Sissoko. He turns Sissoko into our player of the season.

It was never oh wait until Poch has his players (8-10x £30-50m* players)

That is coaching and motivating and improving players.

I’ve seen NONE of that from Conte.

It was never oh wait until Poch has his players (8-10x £30-50m* players)

The thing is, you look at all of the players you mention there and they all have something in common - young(ish) hungry players who haven't achieved much in the game and are eager to make a name for themselves. When dealing with the likes of Adebayor, Lennon and pretty much the entire PSG squad - they didn't respond to his methods and it didn't work out. At no point in his career has Poch been successful with big name big money signings, even in relative terms for the club he is at (he binned off Dani Osvaldo at Southampton who was their record signing after half a season). Same with Arteta - Ozil, Aubameyang, Willian and co didn't respect him and only when he'd been able to build his team around a core of young hungry players has it turned around.

In Conte's first 6 months there was very much an uplift in our players' performance pretty much across the board, but it's not been sustained because we don't have enough good young talent. Now whilst I can certainly criticise Conte for Kulusevski and Sessegnon going backwards this season - when the majority of your starting XI are 29 or over then it's much harder to revolutionise what they're doing. But like I said in an earlier post - Kane, Son, Davies, Dier, Sessegnon, Kulusevski and Bentancur have all played the best football of their career under Conte.

It's all well and good looking for a "coach" that can guide young players to their potential. But we need the right young players with the right frame of mind.
