He needs to walk, why he signed with us I’ll never know. Levy is done, club is done, paratici is a fraud. I’m afraid this could be a big, big change for the club. Shame.

Genuinely surprised if he is here in August. Have no faith in Paratici getting any of those summer deals done.

Is it Paratici though? He clearly got deals done at Juve.
Levy still looms large when it comes to transfers he just has a scapegoat now.
We have money to spend apparently. Every penny earned goes into the football club they say.
Enic/ Levy have no interest in sporting success. They need to go, unfortunately I can’t see it happening anytime soon.

Some average deals at
Juventus that were basically done because of them being the biggest club in Italy.

This is why we are behind the other 3 clubs like Liverpool City and Chelsea. We are a top club that can pull top players, but if any of those other teams come in for the player we want they will go there. This is why we always fall behind at the last hurdle. It’s a vicious circle that goes around and around. So many players have snubbed us at the last minute so, it’s not just down to levy. This comes with being a Tottenham fan. So shocked Conte came to us, but probably realises that we will always be the bridesmaid and never the bride. Sad day and probably explains why our windows have been so poor the last few seasons as none of the other top teams were in for the players we got in.

Hope he walks that gives levy and co nowhere to hide

And then what happens?

I keep reading that if Conte walks Levy is finished

He won't be because once the initial anger subsides the season tickets will still be sold, as will match day tickets

The club shop will still sell plenty of merchandise as will all the food outlets in the stadium

There will be a half arsed protest with about 150 fans, social media will be ranting but nothing will change

We're in the main hot air and bluster and unless ENIC sell up Levy is going nowhere :(

Injuries broke him by then, he wasn't that difference maker anymore. He missed 22 games in his last half-season with us.

Yes he was getting injured but as Trippier said he could still make the difference at crucial times. He was sold to make some money before he went on a free. Even if he just provided the leadership off the pitch that helped us win a trophy it would have been worth keeping him.

I think if the players were shocked he was sold then you have to back there opinion as they were really there and had more information.

I want him to threaten to quit on 1st Feb. That might get the board to act

Conte: Get me players or I resign!!!!

Levy: (sits motionless and realises this is free where as sacking him on the week of a cup final later costs money) I look forward to receiving your resignation letter.

I’d be surprised if he’s here the full length of his contract. He is an elite manager but the club is a mess on the playing side.

He needs finished article players that fit into his system, particularly given the contract length but we can’t attract them because we don’t pay market rates, are not in CL and all those players will be coveted by bigger clubs who even if we do agree deals will just gazump us.

He is a top manager but it feels like the timing is wrong. We have been allowed to go so far backwards that we need to revert to young players before they become stars and try and develop them but that is not Conte, he won’t wait for that. This means we probably need a development coach and to be looking in the lower bracket of players with potential, but need to be prepared to gamble more on them too (like DV last summer).

It all comes back to a massive dereliction of duty on the management of the squad and the fact that people need to be held to account for the quite appalling recruitment in recent years, which probably contributes to Levy being gun shy too.

The only thing I’m a little surprised about is our interest in Luis Diaz. There’s no doubt he’s a fine player, but why we want yet another right footed left winger slightly baffles me, surely it would make more sense to bring in a right winger. I know Son can play on the right wing but he isn’t as lethal on his left foot and moving our second best player into a position that isn’t his best to accommodate a new signing seems a little counter productive. Still, Diaz is an exciting talent and it would be exciting to see how he develops our attack if it happens.
was going to say the same but looks like it doesn't matter now.

moussa diaby would make more sense to me(not sure how much we'd be looking at to sign him though to be fair) but i suspect the diaz money will vanish now.

We should go and drop a £100m double bid for Raphina and Kalvin Phillips...oh wait just heard they have signed for Arsenal!
