But the majority of players who aren’t playing have showed time and time again they cannot be relied upon

Which is all the reason to protect the others even more. Our squad is paper thin at the moment and if a few individuals get injured or burnt out then we're quickly back to relying upon Sanchez, Royal, Winks, Lucas and Bergwijn.

Sounds paradoxical but sometimes we need to play the reserves to avoid having to play the reserves.

It's obvious that Conte's bleating about visions aligning for him to stay is bullshit, he is just egineering an escape route for better offers.
Is that what is happening or are you engineering a return for Poch in your mind?

I want people who are committed to the club.
We all do but it always comes back to every time the club appoints a manager or a head coach, there are people who aren't happy because it's not the person that they want in charge.

I appreciate your viewpoint but it's not one I share.

Conte is a winner, but he is protecting his 'brand'

If we back him with players like he has been promised, I believe he will stay.

To be fair to Conte, he is right to be cautious, but I don't take his caution as a lack of commitment.

Massive game on Sunday.win that and I think it sets us up nicely.

Lose it and god knows where the season will end up.

The thing is, this kind of thing has been said so many times over the last couple of months, then we lose & everyone says it's game over when it comes to top 4 etc.

Then a couple of weeks later, somehow we're back in the mixup again.

There's still going to be many twists I reckon.

Good to see the Romero run forward lead to a goal. A bit lucky of course but the fact he was even in the box made the goal. We haven't seen that forward work from Sanchez and it really does add another dimension to our attack. Davies has done it a few times from the left too, offside goal against United was unlucky. I really feel we're just a few players short of a top quality team under Conte as we see his system shaping up. Just the 2 signings in Jan have made a big difference and we didn't spend a fortune either.

Bentancur was horrific in the first half. And consistently lost the ball in a few other games. Jury is well and truly out for him. Conte needs to drop/rest Son. Bergs must start against West Ham. But he wont. Bergs will defo be gone in the summer. Which is a shame as he’s way better than Moura. Meaning another transfer needed. I will sing (Antonio!) as a fan at the ground but he’s too stubborn and rigid for me. On the plus side Winks wont see another minute without injuries.
Ok. So…. First off. I had sunk a lot of captain and coke before I wrote this lol. So please give me some slack people. I was playing 5aside and missed the first 15 minutes. But, Bents didn’t have a great first half. To say he never lost the ball is just not true. He spent way too long with it and also passed pretty badly. At one point he actually jumped in the air and threw his arms out in frustration as he knew he kept spilling it. He definitely improved in the second half. I’ve never said he’s not an improvement on our midfield either. But let’s face it, it’s not hard. He literally moves like Berbs. But he is definitely way too sloppy in possession. As always, I want him to succeed. Why wouldn’t I? And any football player could see his pass to Kane for his goal was way over hit and the keeper should of came out. Again. I’m happy with the outcome. But I can also see flaws. Apologies if I haven’t let myself get carried away just yet. First 2 games I thought we had an absolute baller. But he has struggled also. Anyway. If you see a post from me at 02.30 then expect at bit of rubbish ?

Great win and performance. This is the most like a Conte team we’ve looked since he joined and it’s the best coached and most comfortable the players have looked in a specific system since peak poch days.

Football is easy on the eye too, some nice flowing passing moves and creating a good amount of chances every game.

Just need to keep winning to keep the pressure up on Arsenal until the NLD.
