This season fixtures will be released on Thursday it’s usually at 9 AM. There will be 15 weekends before a break on November 12th for the World Cup. Resuming on Boxing Day and then finishing on May 28th.

I’m going Liverpool Home first game.

I don’t remember us having a big match on opening day for years. So I’m going Liverpool Home first game.
Man City last season.

Yes normally I wouldn’t remember details like that but it’s stuck in my mind.
it should be stuck in my mind and would normally have been there but was still on holiday in a drunken blur. Just always feels like we have a big game 2nd or 3rd match day.

No chance in hell we are home first game of the season, again this year. We’ll be away first day for a few seasons now.

Reckon we will have United away or someone like that.

Arsenal at home early doors would be good

I feel like we have their number and can send them on a bad run.

That would be a perfect start, I agree, but I just have a feeling in my water we're going back to Villa Park first game.

How many home in last 5 seasons I really have no idea.

Think we had Newcastle away twice in a row not long ago didn't we? Would feel strange to get them away again.

I would prefer any team that is not settled or has a squad/new style build up in front of them... maybe teams that normally cause us trouble... we have a great momentum that we can take advantage of... plus hopefully one of the best pre-seasons ever.

Liverpool away.

Heard it here first.
Might not be a bad thing actually... with their disappointing end to last season, Manè wanting to go... their very long season with Nations League on top... they can't be at the highest level from the start... impossible.

Would love to get it done early for those reasons. It'll be a tv game but won't be under the lights. 12.30 Saturday first game would be lovely. Flat atmosphere and not letting them get a head of steam

Is there something in the algorithm that prevents a big derby in the first day? Haven’t seen us meeting Arsenal, Chelsea nor Merseyside/Manchester derby on the first day from memory.
