Yet again your right, in 1990 we were a top 4 club and are now a mid-table one.
Thanks for help set up the Sky,after all,i didnt really want to watch football for free on normal TV,if you can remember that!
Thanks for refusing Berkamp,Zola and getting Fox,Austin,Edinburgh(10 Bloody years) ,Kerslake,Dozzell,Sinton,Rosenthal,Dominguez,
Vega,Cundy, add in any other great,if you like!
I often tell my son, Fox what a player,he played one good game on his debut and was shit for the next 100.After all Bergkamp only won 3 championships and lit up the English game.I still think Armstrong was better than Zola, dont you!

Sarcasm is the lowest form of witt!!

imo Sugar was 30/70 bad for the club but we could have ended up with Maxwell

I think I've seen a load of camels coming down the High Road before.

Yeah, 'shrooms are fun, eh?*

Seriously though, I found it a bit odd that he sited a potential takeover by an Arab billionaire as a reason why the players might be distracted & thus not performing - I didn't think there were more than a rumour or two that have surfaced over the last week or so & it certainly hasn't been all over the press in a way that would potentially cause such a distraction. Does he know something we don't? Apart from how to make a fuckload of money, of course...

* I do not in any way encourage the consumption of hallucinogenic fungi for purposes recreational or otherwise & have never done so. Except just then. Sorry.

He didn't say that at all. He was saying the key to success is all about the players being right in the head and an arab billionaire can't suddenly make that happen, yet for some reason players do get better when a club gets a big backer. (I think he may have been hinting at the fact they are nearly all greedy ****s)

He made some terrible footballing decisions because he couldn't comprehend the game. He redeveloped the ground, but yet again he didn't have forward thinking and now we are suffering.

I like his media persona, the way he talks etc... but he was an absolutely terrible chairman. Take away him saving us from bankruptcy and there are no other positives imo.

edit: I forgot that he moved the training facilities from Barnet Coptall to Chigwell. That was a positive as the facilities at coptall were non league standard.

I'v e only heard a small part of the interview but I totally agree with what he said about us supporters. Our away support is amazing but the home support has to help spread self-belief amongst us and to the players. I know it has to come the other way too but I can't bear hearing our fans booing our own players. What is the opposite of "you're our 12th man"?

Yeah agree from top 4 to 10 years of middle table.

short sighted prat, what about the points deduction he fought, the FA cup ban he overturned. The fact he took the club from going bust to spending 11million on one player (albeit Rebrov).

Sir Alan Sugar did alot for this club and was largely unappreciated by the majority.

I swear why do some of you guys laugh at newcastle or other crisis team's fans because you just as bad if not WORSE

The sort of interview that makes you think 'blimey he'd make a great chairman!'

Was quite big of him to outright admit that his tenure as chairman was a failure, I thought.

Thought he made his debut against the scum, but that was his best ever game for us a 2-1 win.

He did what youd expect a chairman to do and fight the ban.
We were one of the biggest club in the country to middle table. The facts show that!
