Davies, sanchez and Forster trying to play it out the back under pressure 😂 nervous already. Hopefully they step up and show us what they’re made of. COYS

Forster was alright with the ball on the deck last season. If Fulham try to press too hard they might run out of gas like Bournemouth did.

I like his selections. Would of kept the keeper in but bar that I'd of picked the same.

More than good enough side to do the job and you have to involve the squad.

Whether people like it or not, players need to be match ready if there are injuries and they have to feel part of it all.

Have to wonder if you are making so many changes why not go the whole hog and change them all? Richarlison I guess needs to play himself into some confidence but not so with Van de Ven so maybe it is actually a huge signal that we have no backup for him.

We don’t. His back-up is playing next to him (and we might even sell him).

Richarlison - we don't have a back-up in yet - other than Scarlett - who, hopefully gets in today.

VdV - I think we actually needed his pace in this game.

Again - Ange has said he is trying to win here. So he is picking a team that he thinks will bring the right attributes to get a win.

Richarlison could use a goal or two, he will have Perišić supplying the crosses so hopefully he scores tonight.

I think it's good for VdV to get used to playing with his squad mates.
Romero has taken a couple of heavy knocks in the last couple of games and due to his physical style, will probably need the rest more.

I wouldn't have made so many changes but when I think about it, they're all quite understandable.

What this shows more than anything else is that we are woefully short at CB. Dier is most likely off and Tanganga just isn’t anywhere near good enough.
Definitely need reinforcements before Friday is out!

As for tonight’s game, hope the boys smash it! Hope Richy can get his goal and get that monkey off his back!

front 3 have a chance to impress, with Kulu and Son rested, and Richarlison needs a big game. Looking forward to Lo Celso as well.
Slightly surprised Vicario wasnt given the opportunity to build on his good start to the season though.
And that defense gives me Sheff Utd away last season vibes, shows how much of a drop off in that area we have.

Dier not even in the squad for a first Rd cup game. Hopefully he’ll understand it’s time to move.

Love the lineup. Exactly what I was hoping for. I think it is a great blend of quality and experience. Hopefully the front 3 click as they were in pre-season and take their chances that will come

For me it's all about attitude and positive energy tonight... changes or not... I want to see players who are brave, hungry and up for it in a cup tournament... hopefully Ange's magic will work here as well... although we have some of the "old faces" in the starting 11.

Still a very strong team, we have good depth this year, especially in the midfield.

I'd expect our starters (Maddison, Son, Bissouma, Sarr, Udogie) to still get 25-30 minutes unless the game is out of sight.

He's probably smashing out the German on Duolingo as we speak.

Man's gonna be so good at saying "The red dog is big" in Deutsch before the week is out.
