lol, rawk practically exploded with rage when defoe knocked in the 3rd.

I was wondering how they might respond to our 'good fortune' today.

Any links by any chance? (I can never seem to navigate my way around other fans' forums for some reason)

EDIT - Found it. :)

I'm drained after that game, thank god we held out.I wish Defoe had got that goal a bit earlier and took the pressure off my heart, great position to be in going into the International break.

modric was playing with an injury and was class first half. Problem was he looked shattered second half and parker was clearly affected by his injury. Hence we totally lost midfield

What happened last week, happened again this week. We gave the other side a sniff, and almost come unstuck. We need to either protect what we have, (introduce Sandro earlier?) or go for the third and kill the game. We were stuck in two minds, and got lucky.

I'm growing concerned about Adebayor not yet proving himself as being able to hold up the ball efficiently, or running the channels. We can't have both VDV and Adebayor dropping deep to look for the ball, because this invites pressure and prevents us counter attacking.

We are still looking for a dynamic number 9, who can lead the line, and threaten the opposition. This means we need another striker in January.

Man, that's all coming in reaction to a 3-1 Away win.

Do we even have a right to complain?

Adebayor has held the ball up well most games. He did in the first half today but didn't seem to be challenging much in the 2nd half, like most of our players though. Apart from Kaboul most of our other players must have lost certainly most of their 50/50 aeriel battles and that includes King but Zamora can take and sheild the ball from the air against most defenders to be fair.

Parker doesnt look as effective away from home, he dawdles on the ball and isnt as good defensively.

I think away from home we need sandro in the middle making it difficult for the opposition so that we can win the ball in the middle and break. We didnt put fulham under pressure and just let them come on to us for 90 minutes which also seemed to do against blackburn.

It is a positive that we are taking 3 points from these games but we need to learn from these performances and start to dominate these games or I feel we are going to fucking kill harry if we carry on.

I love the way that Citeh spend hundreds of millions and they are still more worried that we beat Fulham.

We were poor today in most areas of the game - the only part we were successful at was the one part Fulham weren't, namely finishing off chances that came our way.

I thought the defence did pretty well today given the onslaught we had, especially in that second half when it was basically attack vs defence.

The strikers did not hold the ball up anywhere near good enough. VDV was not good, he struggled to get on the ball and was completely bypassed in the second half. Adebayor worryingly showed Pav like tendencies and struggled to offer a focal point or outlet for the defence.

The midfield struggled with the twin jobs of closing down Fulham and helping the centre backs deal with the Fulham strikers, getting caught in a no mans land. Fulham were not afraid to go direct or put balls into the box. We were a bit lucky to be two up and the next goal would be crucial - if we had gone 3-0 up the game would have been over but we gave up the initiative just like we did against QPR.

But on the positive side we won, Lennon played well when he got in the final third and took his goal really well. We didnt crumble like Spurs teams of old, we won without the manager, and we have an international break and extended rest before our next game to recharge batteries and minds and refocus our efforts

I wonder if someone has spotted something about the way we defend.
Fulham'sgoal was similar to QPR's last week, they managed to crowd Friedel and score from a corner.

Had Ledley headed it in the right direction, it wouldn't have been a problem.

My heart just took a hammering!

I thought the main problem for us today was Bobby fucking Zamora. He won everything in the air and their midfield just picked up the pieces from his aerial dominance. Dembele played well too and between the two of them, particularly Zamora, they caused us problems all afternoon....Murphy was feeding off the hold up play and pulling the strings with none of our players picking him up.

We did defend well but then again we took a hammering in the air. Sandro should of been on a lot sooner and we got very lucky IMO. His height, presence and positional ability was much needed.

Its the sort of the game where I would of taken Modric off for Sandro, and would of done it a lot earlier.

Fantastic result though!!!!

Not sure Harry will of survived it though

I'm looking forward to MOTM2 to see what weight they give to Sidwell's forearm smash to Parker, the incident when Parker went down in the box and the handball appeal against Walker.

The fact many of us are 'moaning' about a 3-1 victory away from home against a decent side is a great sign, surely?

We won't play that badly many more times this season

Doubt they'll mention the Sidwell 'forearm smash' or the foul on Parker.

To be fair to Sidwell he was the first person to tell everyone else on the pitch to stop playing after he he flattened Parker in the 1st half, so I don't think it was in anyway deliberate.

And the foul near the end was just outside the box (I think) so I dont expect it to be mentioned.

They'll probably be pretty quick with the Walker handball too - something along the lines of 'its definite handball, Spurs got lucky there, but another great result for them' and then move on.
