One word for that game........stressful :eek:mg:
But i really enjoyed it. Strength through adversity and all that.
The players showed character, it would be nice to totally dominate every game we play but there are lot'sof good points that come out of this.

We're not even the top game on MOTD2???

Feck me, someone on that show really doesn't like us (and more amazingly, it isn't Lawro!)

Oh absolutely, the spurs of old would have folded like a pack of cards and the game would either have been 2-2 or a 3-2 loss. And it was so nice seeing how happy the whole team looked at the end, high 5's all round, great spirit we have atm, this run is amazing :)

I didn't enjoy it at all. If it was just a case of Fulham playing well in the second half, then fair enough, but it was due to some terrible performances from our players.

Worst performance from Modric I've seen. Bale was invisible. VDV was average. Lennon scored a good goal so will presumably keep Sandro out of the squad for the foreseeable future, but was mostly dire. Adebayor was frankly pathetic. Even King looked a bit iffy at times, which pretty much says it all.

Not encouraging. It's pretty clear that Fulham more than deserved a point from that match...but it's also pretty clear that the talent we have at our disposal should not have to resort to that level of backs-to-the-wall defending. We've put in some great performances this season, but ultimately they amount to the odd first 45 minutes here and there, and the Liverpool game where we were outstanding from start to finish.

Obviously it's great to be winning when we're not playing well, and I enjoyed the goals and final whistle massively, but I won't deny that I'm worried about this season if we can't start to perform to our potential on a regular basis.

We've got a squad of players that in my opinion can definitely finish above Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. I'm just not convinced that the players have the same level of confidence in themselves.

Lee Dixon says we 'deserved the win, (but only just)'.

Maybe we should all stop moaning about today's 2nd half performance?

P.S Absolutely no chance of Alan Smith saying something similar. He probably thinks Liverpool were unlucky not to get a point against us!

Little bit shocked at all the Ade abuse, goes to show it never takes us Spurs fans long. A few weeks ago Ade was awesome, now he is off the boil and we all knew it obviously blah blah. Ade had a huge hand in two of our goals today, held the ball up pretty well and was good in distribution. Goals are not the be all and end all for a striker like Ade, that is why we are a better side with Ade than with any of our other strikers, he offers us so much more.

Look past the goal tally and recognise that he enables the others around him to play. The difference is if Defoe or Pav went a few games without scoring we may as well play with 10 men, but if Ade isn't scoring, he is still contributing to the team with other aspects of his game.

I think that proves that he didnt even watch the game. You could make an argument we didn't even deserve a point in fairness.

Did we just get described as 'title contenders' on MoTD?

Yea I just heard that too

Completely agree. Some people just seem very hard to please this evening and I've no idea why. I've been a Spurs fan since 1990 and this is the best I've ever known things to be. :hump:

You have to remember theGeorge Graham Arsenal team he played for for them that would have been a flamboyant attacking display.

Ade is far superior to Defoe and Pav, but I think he tries to play a bit like Berbatov and like Berba when he goes missing he goes missing. Would like to see a little more aggression from him and smash the ball now and again.
Agree that he helps drag the oppositions defence apart and with his pace and strength always looks like a danger.

'Deserve' means nothing in football.

Fulham conceded 3 and couldn't put one of their chances away; they relied on a header from King (I think) going in off Kaboul's back for their goal. If you can't score and concede, you lose, regardless of what else you might do.

You'll get no arguments from me, it was more a comment on the fact we were outplayed.

I'll have to copy/paste this in the religion thread, Lanh praying :)
Sorry, Lahn, but this anti-Pienaar bias is utterly, utterly tedious.
You know what's really fucking tedious? People using this kind of pointless, completely lacking in merit, kind of statement in a cheap attempt to discredit a poster or what they're saying.

In the match ratings...

6, 6 (8), 6 (6.5), 8 (8), 7 (5), 7 (8.5), 7.5 and 5

...the figures are the ratings which I gave my favourite player, (Benni), in the same matches, (where there's no bracket, Benni didn't play).

Suffice to say that if I genuinely held "anti-Pienaar bias", there is no way in hell that I would be dishing out match ratings that equal and beat my favourite player, in any match.

So shove it up your fucking arse.

My comment was based on the fact that he travelled to and from Russia this week, and in his first match back from injury, played the full 90 minutes, put in a performance that was average at best.

It's common fucking sense that putting such a player, in the starting line-up of a London derby match, (or bringing him on), is not a good idea.

Use your fucking head!
