Maybe, just maybe, and hear me out here, we have a lot of quality in those positions including 3 young lads named Skipp, Sarr and Devine who all need game time.

On top of that we already have the relatively young players in Bissouma (26), Bentancur (26), Lo Celso (27) and Maddison (26).

It’s happened so fast all of a sudden that our worst positions, when it comes to strength in depth, appear to be the from 3.

The lack of professional ambition is astounding, and pretty sad. Bullet dodged if we never went in for him if this is the height of his ambition.

Pah.

All this is gonna do is weed out the ones who are not truly driven to be the best.

Europe will keep those who are not swayed by money but by legacy

This confidence that the Saudi league will just be an irrelevant oddity seems very misplaced to me. They’re well on their way to being the second most valuable league in terms of player values, and they have some genuine star power. I’ve just returned from a holiday in Germany and Italy and outside of Bayern shirts in Munich, I saw more Saudi league kits on kids than any league other than the EPL. More than Madrid, more than PSG, more than Barca, more than Serie A. I bet you they’re making very sure these clubs will be among the most competitive on FIFA and Football Manager as well.

I’m willing to bet in two or three years Veiga will be leading Al Ahli out in the Champions League, or whatever Super League equivalent has replaced it, and in the meantime he’ll make enough money to buy a yacht that rivals Joe Lewis’s.

i don't remember that the chinese league back then attracted as many stars as the saudi league now. i mean they are not just signing old stars. they are getting the young ones, too. this is crazy. really money talks.
Drogba, Anelka, Paulinho, Oscar, Dembele, that's all I remember

If I'm not wrong, the Chinese League has some cap of forms in signing foreign players. The Saudi League now doesn't seem like having one and it's really frustrating so many players just say yes to going there without second thoughts.

I don't know, there are 1B Muslims in the world, All of them are supposed to go to Mecca once in their lifetime for Hajj, France has a lot of Muslim North/Central/West African Players, Germany Has lots of Turkish Muslim players, and these are good players I could see more going to Saudi in the future. Saudi for a lot of people across the world isn't a far-flung destination in the middle of nowhere.

I know a few, not many, South Asians in England who would never go to a WC in Europe but did go to Qatar.

I mean I Would never go to Europe on Holiday, But have been a few times to Dubai/Abu Dhabi.

I think a lot of people maybe underestimating Saudi

I found that staggering, I have never seen anyone in a Saudi team shirt (I live in Italy), never seen one on sale.
Maybe in Germany and other parts of Italy there's a bigger Arab population...?
