What are you talking about. He's three years left on his contract. Levy holds the power cards I'm afraid. There is no way 40 million would get him, not even close given his age and the heights he's been hitting consistently now.

He would of been worth close to 40 million last summer - or at least that's what Levy would of been looking in and around. Now he's worth way in excess of 50 million.

I don't believe he will go for anything near the Ronaldo fee if he went this Summer, however I would expect around the £50 million mark as opposed to £30-40 million range.

Although I would disagree to selling him for around the mark I expected, especially in today's market.

But you know inevitably the power is in the players hands'. Modric had a long contract but all he had to do was throw his toys out.

I agree - don't think Bale would be as ruthless in order to get his own way. I think the power is more split when the contract has still a good few years to go on it etc Obviously the player can make life very difficult and put the Club in a difficult position if he's determined enough to get what he wants - but Bale won't do this IMO.
