Yes. It’s Bale. He’s world class.Do people here really want a loanee 30 year old taking a spot from one of Lucas, Son, Alli, Eriksen or Kane? Where do you fit him in?

Haha. Just the 600k a week and tens of trophies with Four champions league wins.6 years ago, Bale was THE hottest property in planet football. More than half a decade later, he's being offered around as a loan offering. Perils of moving to a big big club.

Eriksen is possibly leaving so IF we were to sign Bale he could easily slot in centrally (where he had that massive Purple patch for us under AVB). Not that I in any way want Eriksen to leave, but it does seem likely with contract situation.
Plus it's a squad game, how many times did we actually have first choice (before Moura achieved recent god-hood) Eriksen / Dele / Son combo with Kane in front of them this season?
Look at Man City's options in their attacking midfield three and who they have to slot in when needed.
If we want to win things, the players can't be taking their place for granted.
This is it in a nutshell. No new incoming for 18 months or so. Nobody pushing Trippier, Eriksen, Dele etc. They know if they're fit they play.
Gareth Bale won the CL final last season scoring two goals in the process. I don't care about his injury record, he is still a brilliant player. Him arriving to training the first day back is going to give everyone an extra lift and an extra incentive to raise their game
And if he breaks down in training?
I'd have him back but would prefer a young hungry player.
That young hungry player is just as likely to break down in training as Bale.
If you don't want Bale back you're a crazy person. But its never gonna happen.
