We are probably thinking Aarons is the better optionShould have been all over that.

He might not. He's gonna improve obviously lol
Not sure they'll get an offer like that again mind you ?
He might not.
Was around £30m/£40m. Gylfi was the £50m one. Lol.Considering they paid around 50m for him I'm not surprised they turned it down. There probably were a lot of clauses in the deal too.
It was £35m, rising to £50m.Was around £30m/£40m. Gylfi was the £50m one. Lol.
32 years old, contract up in the summer, Napoli are a basket case where every decent player is looking to leave right now.Chelsea looking at Mertens for 5 million, that's a steal...

Well considering the original poster said they paid around £50m for him, it’s hardly laughable as that’s exactly what they did.So if it was 35, then 30/40 is pretty much what I said.
"Rising to" isn't what they've paid until they paid it. Same as Martial at United.
Great signing
The Norwegian in me is very excited by this, Berge has real potential to be a top class CM and will hopefully get a lot of games straight from the off in that Sheffield United side, something he wouldn't necessarily have got at a bigger club just yet.
One of those who could well be worth £50m+ in a few years.
He's much more of a Dembele/Ndombele than a classic CDM. He is superb at shielding the ball and driving the team forward, he doesn't just sit in front of the defence as a Dier would. Can't quite understand why we aren't in for him. If we aren't going to break the bank for Ndidi or someone at that level, Berge seems to perfect punt for a team desperately need of a young, fit, imposing CDM.
