I never like it when a player I like joins a team I don't like but I'll look forward to seeing him in this league.

Think he will end up at Chelsea. For a silly amount too.

I don’t get why they are after Ziyech though.

Yeah they have so many players competing for the number 8 and 10 roles that it seems odd. Can't imagine they'd play him wide.

Ziyech confirmed to Chelsea by Ajax. Interesting to see how he does compared to Bergwijn in the next couple of years. Their numbers the previous two seasons in Holland have been fairly similar. Bergwijn a bit more raw, but has that electric pace which will help him adapt.

Just curious. How can deals be done outside of transfer windows? I know they can only be completed once the window opens but why bother having a window when you can essentially agree deals outside of it anyway?

You can agree a deal at any time, you just can’t register the player until the window opens.

I was told it was brought in to prevent clubs from signing opponents' dangerous players in an effort to deliberately weaken them partway through a season. Not sure how accurate that is, though.

I believe because Pedro and Willian are leaving

Yeah just seems odd when they have Hudson, Pulisic and are heavily linked with Sancho. Plus I would've thought he would be more suited to the central position in the premier league.

Either way, I'm not looking forward to us playing against him again.

Loading up on players is what Chelsea do. We have to be more selective and smarter of course.

There's a risk signing players early too. For example, Ziyech could have a serious injury and since the deal is agreed I doubt Chelsea could withdraw from it.
