Gift Ange.
Ban Levy.
Avoid Ndombele.

Even if this guy doesn't do well for us he could make a fun game...

So glad we sold the best striker in the world. Balance sheet looking fantastic.
I really don’t think Orban was the answer but I must say going into the season with Son being back up to Richy has me concerned.

If we only get Johnson im fully expecting us to try and tie up a deal for Tony by winter.

As much as his latest interview concerned me, I agree with you and can see us planning to move for Toney. Him changing to CAA Base as well makes it more likely imo.

It is CAA Stellar he has signed with who don’t rep any of our players. Think they were Bale’s.

They were Bale’s agents no? I can’t remember who else but I think Levy was pretty chummy with Jonathan Barnett at one point. No idea what their relationship is like now tho.

Looking at the players caa base represents I wonder if we haven’t enquired about Cole palmer.

Do we know if we're still even talking to Gent, or has it actually just fallen on it's ass?

I think it is done and we arent in for him barring us selling loads of players. All went quiet once the noise levels went up on Johnson.

Son would be first choice unless Richarlison comes good. That leaves us with Perisic, Soloman, Gil, Kulusevski and possibly Johnson for the wide positions. Orban would be 3rd choice anyway as he's not going to be ready to start ahead of either Son or Richarlison. A wide player makes more sense.

To me - it seems we're somewhat happy to see how it goes if we get Johnson in and having Richy or Son at ST. Maybe Johnson in a push as a sort of false 9 - we'll have to see.

Seems to be one to revisit in January if we're struggling up top by then and/if Orban stays true to his form. At that point - he may be more expensive, but it would represent one full season in Belgium firing at that rate.

I think we would be far better going all in for EF. Offer him the keys to our CF full time tempt him away from a supporting role at Brighton. And happily go up towards the Kane money. Boy was looks like a star, very gd again at the weekend, without scoring. IT fine but for the cost I’d go the extra. Didn’t ITK note a huge red flag on him anyway. Can’t fully remember the post

For the record I don’t want IT anywhere near the club and hopefully we don’t make that move. As for EF, I just struggle to see it happening. Brighton will be in no rush to sell, if he continues to develop and improve then they know every team in Europe will be after him and could justifiably ask upwards of £140/150 mil. With him having just signed a new contract they hold all the cards even if we try properly next summer.

You’re right, they absolutely do. And they really don’t need the money right now with the bank of Boehly nicely funding all operations.

For that money you’d expect to see him score 30+ goals for the next 3 seasons at least.
This guy gets serious hype
He’s scored 7 PL goals.

Let’s hold on a second

Totally with you. Kane, in contract, at 25 would barely be worth 150+

He has potential, but a massive amount to prove. His record, age for age, I doubt is any better than the likes of Francis Jeffers.

Good player, who I would love is to get, but no way should be spending the money being talked about on here

Is it that hard to see tho? Højlund had 9 league goals for Atalanta and went for £70 mil. Ferguson is HG and Brighton are known for asking huge fees. The fact is the market for good HG talent is hugely inflated plus good strikers are in very high demand. Probably more so than any other position. Considering the length of his contract and assuming he continues to improve why wouldn’t Brighton be looking for that sort of fee. They have already displayed their unwillingness to reduce their asking price also regardless of the players wishes.

You’re right that he shouldn’t be priced that high but I can most certainly see it.

Totally agree but I think we need to see him score 20+ goals this season to begin to justify the hype.
right now he’s being kept out of the side be Danny welbeck

If gift orban scores 30 goals this season what would his comparative value be n your opinion?

I'd rather sign 10 Veliz/Orban/young players for 20m and see what happens than 150m on a player like Ferguson. A price tag like that on his head, if he doesn't succeed immediately, the pressure would be immense. I think the Hojlund signing was completely idiotic, btw.
