Can't see Bremer costing less than Tapsoba and looks more difficult to integrate into Ange's system - especially as we are (presumably) drifting away from a back 3.

To be honest they probably need their own thread such is their involvement in everything now.
Is Munn also repped by them? I know Base were supposedly instrumental in him coming here but I wasn't sure what his connection to them was. It is wild how much influence they seem to have.

Wasn't there some rumours that Romero wants out? If that's the case then one of these often mentioned but never actually done swap deals might make sense and sure Juve have done loads of these & they've always gone well.......

We clearly want a CAA Base first 11.

They already represent double figures of players at various ages at the club.

Well, after looking at the players they represent, i'd happily take Coman and Eze if CAA want to push them to move!

The club is based (I've seen this speak on Twitter and have no idea what it means)

Just took a look at CAA Base's website.

Fuck me, Juan Mata has let himself go...

Lots of speculationon here that he is one of the Juventus players mentioned by WLB even though nobody knows for sure but as it already exists it might be a better place to discuss it than the daily ITK and the Orban threads.

He’s as rash as Romero if I remember correctly??

No he isnt. He is aggressive but I would say that he is much calmer than Romero. He doesnt fly into tackles like Romero does but rather uses his body to out muscle opponents. He isnt quite as good on the ball though and Im not sure he would suit Ange's style.

I think it’s a pretty good bet, as noted above, that he is one of the two names mentioned by ITK. Personally tho I’m not particularly convinced he’d be the best choice. He wouldn’t be a bad addition but I don’t think he’s a perfect fit skill wise ether. Would feel more like a marriage of convenience based on our need for CB, Juve’s need for money and our links with Base. That’s not a good enough reason to buy him for me, we should only be looking at players that fit our system well. Even if they are back ups. If we are looking to take advantage of Juve there are other players we should be looking at imo.

Given we’ve supposedly targeted a specific type of player to suit Ange’s requirements, it would be a back step to sign some based purely on opportunity.

Agree with this to a certain extent that he’s not a good fit on paper, but when I watch him the one thing that always comes to mind is that he’s like a 10x better version of Carter-Vickers, who was a great success for Ange.

Personally though I would be hoping too that it’s a combination of Locatelli and either one of the forwards (Definitely won’t be Chiesa and Vlahovic) that we’re going for.

Hardly a surprise though, for all the talk of data scouted signings, our squad is made up of opportunity buys and BASE clients…including some of this summers additions. Eze another recent link. Hard to shift from what we know.

A large goal of data driven scouting is to determine which of the players that are actually available represent good value and would be successful for us and reject the others.

It is on Levy. Our Chief scout applies a data-driven approach. I am not surprised if Levy uses the numbers from transfermarkt and if an agent proposes a lower price, Levy thinks it is a bargain.

One thing I will say is, although he isnt fantastic on the ball, he would make us very solid at the back. Him and Romero would be a good pairing and would bully opposition attackers. We certainly wouldnt be soft in defence anymore and attackers wouldnt relish playing against us. He also hasnt played in a team which has a style like Ange's so who knows if he could improve further. If you looked at half of our players over the past couple of seasons you wouldnt think they could play a fast, possession style of play but preseason shows that they actually can.
