For some reason I've always had a soft spot for Grimsby from the age of 6/7 - living in Walthamstow as a footie nut who used to 'make up teams' for an imaginary league and persuading myself that I made up the name 'Grimsby Athletic' only to realise there was actually a Grimsby Town!!

My dad used to run with the Mods down Cleethorpes in the 60s, seeing as you mentioned it.

Always go to 'Papa's' when we visit Cleethorpes.
Largest fish and chip restaurant in Europe, on the pier.
Used to go to Steel's but Papa's is very excellent.
