Never heard of him. Be typical of our management to base our striker search on cheapest option we can find. And sums up why we have had more misses than success in the transfer market recently

You mean cheap like Soldado and Janssen?

Yeah probably - doesn't really feel like he's ever got going though. Reminds me of what Son used to be like.
Yeah very hot and cold but his high point was probably the best moment in the club's recent history so hard not to give him a thumbs up.

I mean that single match alone probably justifies the fee all by itself.
Aside from the glory, the memories, the history, etc, he earned us around £13 million quid in prize money just by getting us through to the final, so not far off.

Lucas has been more consistent under Jose, and has won me over.

Was not convinced on him under Poch.

He works his arse off and defends from the front. The downside of this is that he doesn’t offer much offensively. Yes he goes on mazy runs etc but he’s not creating or scoring enough.

He’s also extremely wasteful and dribbles on far too long and eventually gets it taken away. Which is why he’s perfect for us.

That's a huge mistake ?
Agreed. In fairness, I was assuming in the sense of forming an opinion without particular supporting evidence, whereas I meant yankspurs was assuming in the sense of taking ownership of that knowledge. Different kinds of assumption, albeit very unclear when used so close together. A bit like ‘by wearing these trousers too often I’m really wearing them down’.

I assume the above has worn you out ?

With the obvious caveat that this is a highlights video and won't show any negatives to his game, I quite like the look of him.

Appears pretty comfortable with either foot and can score with headers. Composed enough to go around the keeper when he can rather than blast it, or to turn and bring a team mate in to the game. He has that deceptive, almost gangly look about him in the sort of Patrick Vieira or Yaya Touré mould, but is actually quite strong. Also puts in a few good tackles and harries opposition defenders and midfielders, so should be up for the 'defend from the front' style that José may ask of him.

Could he be an option for when Kane is rested? Provided he is a player the manager actually wants, and the financials make sense, I'd be happy to see the club take a punt on him. If he is anything like the player I've conjured in my head based on the clip he could probably work alongside or just off of Kane is we played a 3-5-2 or 3-5-1-1 formation.

Reckon Dragon's ITK about the other striker might be alluding to this guy or to Odsonne Edouard, who actually fits his description pretty well. No direct link but mumbles we were scouting him back in May

Think Edouard will be much too expensive.
