Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidzic has denied a "Bild" report that CEO Oliver Kahn is pushing for a commitment from Tottenham striker Harry Kane (29) for the summer of 2023. That was "played too high," said Salihamidzic on Tuesday before leaving for the Champions League game at Inter Milan. "I don't think Oliver Kahn is forcing him to sign up. You can all shift down a gear, there's nothing to it."

I know things don't always translate properly, but "forcing him to sign up...?"

"Yeh, no, obviously I love Spurs but Bayern have confiscated my Xbox and I can't have it back unless I sign for them. Good luck guys"

I think Bayern will definitely push for him. They don't tend to offer big transfer fees, but they do offer massive wages and love signing big players running down their contracts.

Thing is, we'd still be asking for about 100m next summer and no way are Bayern paying that, and is Kane really going to want to go there on a free aged 31 when he's probably within 20-30 goals of the PL scoring record?

All seems unlikely to me, however much money Bayern offer him.
But I just hate the way they do business. A big club without the way a big club should behave.

Agree... but I also think it's vital that Conte signs a new contract. If he doesn't and we get another Nuno-scenario, then Kane would probably re-think again.... although we still hold the cards next summer.

They do realise that it still won't be Kane's decision in Summer 2023, don't they? I mean even if the story were true it's pointless.
They're no doubt hoping they can turn his head like they did with Mane. I believe he was on surprisingly low wages at Liverpool and was quite happy for a new challenge so they got a good deal for him.

Would be 10 times harder for them to prize Kane from Spurs, though, and probably 3 times more expensive.

Spot on... and it still goes on and on. From the media and other outlets... maybe even Bayern. It's normal behaviour from them ... FC Hollywood.. :)

Sky Sports News on it today as well pushing the story. I imagine they'd love if England's best player and captain left the best league in the world, would really help the league wouldn't it.

He was reportedly on circa £100-120k at Liverpool, but asked for 3-4 times that to sign a new contract. I have no idea how accurate that really is though.

Looked absolutely shattered towards the end of the game I thought. He and Son are still not at their best yet!

Can Gianni Vio please point out to Kane that he’ll score less goals taking free kicks than he will waiting in the box for rebounds. Maybe show him some clips of his goals from Eriksen’s free kicks back in the day?

Kate starting to be fully COYS again. Me thinks there's good feeling around Kane and the club again.
