Really? So you consider one the worlds biggest and most successful teams, the same as Ajax or Porto? The bundesliga is still a top 5 league and Bayern are still a club that are miles bigger than us. The arrogance of English fans to think a super club like Bayern isnt attractive to someone like Kane, who just had the top striker in the world for a number of years in Lew, is laughable.
Do you think all those German players sit there and think dam I’ve won nothing of note by winning all these trophies with Bayern.
Did you consider juve a joke team when they won the league countless times in a row?
You forget Bayern won the champions league in 2020 but I guess that achievement doesn’t matter?

Of course they are a bigger club than us. But Kane aint going to Germany to play, no chance. It is a shit league with one team that wins it every season. It has no competition at all. If he was to leave us to go and play abroad I guarantee Germany would be well down the list of places he'd go to.

Of course they don't, but Harry isnt German is he?

They are a much bigger club than us, but in England, you know, the country he is the captain of, they are much more irrelevant.

They have lost arguably the best striker of the last 10 years and are struggling to find an adequate replacement, they are using their usual bullshit tactics of running off in the media that works so often with bullying other German clubs. They are a horrible club, like Madrid, like Barcelona. A horrible club that hate not getting their own way and a horrible club that is scared of the Premier league. They are trying to stay relevant by linking themselves with him. At the end of the day if he leaves, which he very much might do, it will be to another top team in England. If he is saying he would like to go there, i would only assume its to get a better deal from elsewhere.

I really cannot see a World he goes there in 2 years, from listening to him and watching him over the years and more recently, getting Shearers record would be much more meaningful than winning a bloody Bundesliga by beating teams like Gruether Furth or whatever they are called 8-0 every week.

Spot on. They are the school playground bully who hoover up all the best players in the country and have destroyed the league in doing so. They're a plague on that league.

It's a bit petty to say they're trying to stay relevant. They very much are relevant. Despite not having Premier League money they have always remained competitive in Europe. There's every chance they want Kane and believe they can get him, and what's more Kane might even be interested. People keep saying 'we need to get top 4 to keep Kane', well it might not be enough to just qualify. Kane's time at the top is running out and he might want to move to a team that stands an immediate chance of winning such competitions. Sure Germany may not be his first choice but if his options are limited by the number of teams that can afford him AND have room for him then it's very plausible he'd go.

Unless of course he values that Premier League top scorer accolade higher but I'd be surprised if that were the case.

Yeah, while I think Kane's more likely to stay than to go to Bayern for multiple reasons (price-tag, scoring record, family, etc) I think he'd certainly give a move to Germany serious thought.

Bayern are a humungous club and one of only a handful of teams that regularly challenge for the CL, winning it twice in the past decade. They're also one of the few clubs he could go to where he would be absolutely guaranteed to win trophies, and even though it's an imbalanced league, I suspect part of Kane is thinking "I need to win something before I retire".

Thing is, unless Conte decides he'd prefer to cash-in on Kane (assuming Conte stays) I just don't see how a deal happens next summer. We'll be asking for around £100m and I don't see Bayern paying that much for a 30 year old. And if Conte would prefer to keep him then surely a deal if off the table regardless as selling Kane would mean losing Conte too.

Of course Bayern are a huge club and can potentially attract any player, including Kane

but it comes back to Shearer’s record for me. I think that is worth a great deal more to the English captain than a few Bundesliga titles which may as well be handed to them at the start of every season

but it is in both Bayern’s interest and the Kanes’ camp to keep this story bubbling along, to appease fans in Bayern’s case and to strengthen Harry’s position with any negotiations which are surely ongoing with Spurs

He would be wise to wait until next summer before committing again but we’ll see what happens.

Beating Shearer is actually going to be very tough indeed. He’ll comfortably keep on target for the next couple of seasons, injuries aside, the challenge will be ensuring he gets game time later in his career. Perhaps Spurs are likely to be more supportive than other clubs later, if he remains loyal to us during his prime?

for now at least his future here is tied with Conte, and IMO he won’t be leaving while the Italian remains at the helm

It doesn't matter if he is German or not. Mane just went there from Liverpool... he went there for a reason, didn't he.

I agree the reason he may stay in the league is to break Shearer's record but to think Bayern isn't a club that can attract players from other big-name clubs is laughable. Why did De ligt just push for a move there?

Yes, they bully other teams in the league but they are still a team with a massive pull that can pay very big wages.

I'm sure if mane wins the league this year hell not celebrate it like he won the premier league, will he? Silverware is silverware and at a club like Bayern you have a realistic shot at the champions league etc. They attract great coaches and they usually do very well in the champions league most years.

But I suppose PSG arent a club who can attract talent as the French league is rated lower than the bundesliga yet they end up with huge name players.

Its very valid what you are saying, but you are completely missing the point I am trying to make.

You are not talking about any player from the Premier League, you are not talking about any English player from the Premier League.

If we were talking about Skipp, I would be more inclined to agree with you on this. But the fact of him giving up any chance of that record goalscorer, in my eyes, makes it complete fantasy from Bayern to think they could get him away from this league.

So please, stop being smarmy and actually understand what I am trying to say.

So if he does leave us to win something, he's not going to go to a club where he's pretty much guaranteed to win something? ?‍♂️.
And Manchester City have won the premier league in four of the last five seasons and are favourites to win it again. We've become a two team League which isn't much better.

Kane, very simply, when he's on it he's unplayable and the heartbeat of our team going forwards.

The same however can be said when he's leggy and heavy touched like tonight and can completely stunt our attack requiring the likes of Son (who's equally off form) and Richarlison/Kulusevski to conjure up something positive.

I love Harry and want him to stay with us for the rest of career but he’s always banging on about winning things etc but he never himself turns up in big games.

But it’s still better.

Regardless, these links have only come up because he’s negotiating a new contract, I bet.

Maybe I was completely wrong on this, he’s looked poor all season.

Maybe Bayern have been in his ear, and he is half interested

He was absolutely shocking tonight

He does in some. City away last season he was superb.

Can't expect him to do it every game.

However, when he has a game like tonight in a big game, it completely hinders our play. The Ball goes through him and if he continuously has a poor touch or holds onto the ball too long then a large percentage of our attacks transpire to nothing.

At this level, you can't win big games like so.

I've watched Lewandowski tonight and he has missed 2 chances but he's also been very sharp on the ball, that's often the case with him too.

Kane will give 8 or 9s our of 10 about 80% of the time. Then he'll give you a 3 out of 10 for 2 or 3 games.

Sadly, if you want to win titles it has to be more consistent.

One thing I find funny about Kane is that he moans about not being able to play at the highest level at Spurs in the CL etc etc and then when we finally get to the CL he serves up that type of performance.

I know every player can have off games, but I’ve picked him out as he’s always the one moaning at how he deserves to play in the CL but then when he finally gets there he doesn’t turn up.

It’s a bit similar when he moans he hasn’t won anything but when we’ve got to finals and semi finals he doesn’t turn up.

I know he is an incredible goal scorer and a legend but sometimes you think he’d turn up in the big games more often than he does. Same in the World Cup and the euros, went missing when it mattered.

He really does go missing in the biggest stage and it's becoming a problem
Dunno if that’s a reflection I’d make off the back of today. Doubt Kane felt any more pressure tonight than he would for a normal premier league game. It is something that can be levied at him more generally though. Probably the only criticism you can make of him, other than the fact that his performance today was insanely bad, obviously.
