He may not of been at his absolutely peak (largely because we haven’t been firing as a team) but you absolutely cannot question his commitment or work rate for us in the run up to the World Cup. He has put his all into every single game, something you cannot say about a lot of star players

I have said this for a while, and IMO his commitment shows what a leader he is

I thought he was very good. That assist for sterling was just sublime, if that was de Britney or messi non spurs fans would be going mental. But he is already getting stick for his performance which is wrong

whilst Sterling plays Kane will not score goals and this IMO is why England won’t win the World Cup or get very far
True, if de Britney does that I'm thinking 'oops he did it again'

Decent game for England with a couple of two good assists.

If that was a Spurs game I'd still see 25% of our fans saying he's saving himself for the WC.

The guy needs to save his energy carrying the country's and club's hopes

Absolutely delighted he got a rest and Wilson got a chance for some minutes

Weird Southgate only brought 2 striker’s especially with Wilson’s injury record. Unless he is counting rashford as a legit striker option alternative ?‍♂️

Best goal machine in the squad setting every other fucker up again.
Be nice if some of our 'talented' midfielders could try and give him the ball in the box.

Trouble is teams pay attention to Kane and get bodies around him so that just opens space for the wide forwards. Son was able to capitalise on that last season. Most of our chances came for those wide forwards yesterday. I would definitely say I thought Saka should have squared to Kane for his 2nd though when he decided to go himself. Also should have had a pen especially when you see the Argentina one today for the exact same thing. No VAR for us but for them is crazy really.

Why on earth was he kept on. Especially with his history of ankle injuries.
Hopefully it’s just precautionary, he’s had enough ankle injuries to know whats more serious.
Hopefully it’s all good, and if it’s not at least he’ll get some rest and hopefully fit fit Boxing Day ?

Could England take the risk and afford to rest him against the US on Friday?

Although try saying that to Harold.

Southgate's a **** for keeping him on.

Always overusing Kane too this isn't the first time. Leaves him on for 90mins in nothing games too.
I think he was going to take him off earlier but iirc, Maguire took a knock to the noggin and he had to change the subs.
Remember Wilson being on the sidelines, ready to go, then having to go sit back down again for 10 minutes.

With only having 2 actual strikers in the squad and a lot of attacking forwards/mids, Southgate has hamstrung himself a tad.

Sounds to me like Ornstein is just fear mongering to generate clicks, they're world class internationals with access to the world's best facilities, course they're gonna get him a scan.

There was more than one occasion where Dele got injured and Southgate refused to sub him and aggravated it.
