Can't stand Neville. He did the same during the Poch years, essentially using our games as a pitch to talk about how Poch deserved to be at a club like Man UTD. He should not be allowed to commentate on games that aren't UTD. It's as simple as that.
To me it just feels like England is the only country that has biased commentators by design in the way you do. Somewhere along the line banter has taken priority over analysis and the goal is not to be impartial but to represent your own clubs interest in the best way that you can in a debate format.

I don't think any other league in Europe have their prime broadcasters acting like the below. It's entertaining in the way that Fan Zone was fun all those years ago, but it just isn't professional IMO. On top of this we don't really have a true Spurs ambassador in the media. Every other top 6 clubs have muliple media personalities that speak positively for their club in TV media whereas we have what? Jenas?

I really hope he leaves this joke of a club now and gets the success he craves and thoroughly deserves more than any other player in pl history.
Fuck Levy. Blokes an idiot if he cant see the financial benefit in real success.
Winning the fa cup increases club recognition worldwide, increases fan base, shirt sales, sponsorship etc etc.
But no, all he sees is the cl pound signs.
I've now absolutely no doubt our attitude towards the cups is coming from him.
No way the message was 'we absolutely have to win a trophy this season' and we put out that joke of a line up.
Its 'top 4 at all costs and fk everything else.'
I'm absolutely fuming and heartbroken.
This may be the final straw for me. I mean whats the point anymore?
Unless we get a takeover we're going nowhere.

I feel your pain and exactly the same. What is the point and Liverpool will get 4th this season anyway. Which makes last night an even bigger joke.

I just can't believe in the last 10 years we had the best English striker there ever been, one best midfielders ever in Modric and also throw Bale into that and we have absolutely fuck all to show for it in terms of trophies. But every player that leaves goes onto win something elsewhere.

There something fundamentaly wrong inside the club when we keep crashing out of cup competitions to weaker teams. It happens every year.

He's got Manure written all over him

Sickening
As much as we slate Levy, I just cannot see him sanctioning a sale of our homegrown star, record goalscorer and England captain. Kane is borderline unsellable as far as Spurs are concerned.

My opinion is Kane will stay this summer and then it all comes down to whether he signs a new bumper contract or he chooses to walk for free in a year's time. If he walks for free then yeah United are a prime candidate to snap him up.

If he doesn't resign he needs to be sold, simple as. Can't have the saga hanging over us for the entirety of next season (a new manager's first season) as he runs his deal down. Levy obviously doesn't want to sell to United but it might have to be done.

I'm sorry, but I can't understand the mentality of wanting to sell our best player.

Nobody wants to sell him, but its necessary. How can you begin a new project with a new manager with Kane entering the final year of his deal with no intention to sign another one? It's completely paradoxical. The media attention regarding Kane will completely overshadow/cloud the new manager's first full season. Not to mention it makes little sense financially. The only way Kane staying without signing a new deal makes any sort of sense is if we activate the 12 month extension in Conte's contract and we give it one more season with Kane and Conte. But assuming Conte goes, it is time to sell Kane as well (presuming he won't sign). Everyone talks of a painful rebuild on here but then they are unwilling for it to actually happen. Either Kane signs or he leaves this summer.

Obviously you have to get 60/70/80m for him unless he extends but hopefully he signs a new contract.

The painful rebuild has/had absolutely nothing to do with selling Harry Kane and had ENIC been as ambitious on the pitch as they have been off it, this wouldn’t even be an issue

If the club is ambitious (on the pitch) then that includes Harry Kane in its short/mid term plans

The club should be 100% committed to keeping its best player and building around him

He still hopefully has another 4/5 seasons as a top player

From his point of view he’d be crazy to not try and engineer a move to Man U etc whatever ‘promises’ or bollox the club comes out with. He’s already wasted 3 seasons too many of his career with us

Really sad how the club has taken him for granted and not invested more in the squad around him in the last 9 seasons

I hope if Harry makes it known to teams that he wants to leave, that our offer to him is the best on the table. He's our talisman and more important to us than he would be to any other team. So, if Bayern, Man Utd, and Newcastle or whoever are offering terms to him, I hope we're offering him the best terms. Not sure I'm super confident we would, though. Basically, I think we should be getting close to letting him write whatever number he wants on the contract if he'll sign (I don't seriously believe this, but you know... give him a lot of money to sign).

I do think if Harry made it clear there's a snowball's chance in hell that he signs a new contract, Levy would sell him and sell him to Man U or Newcastle which seem most likely to me. I just can't see Levy turning down 60+ million for one more year and hope that things change. He's too risk-averse for that.

If I were Harry, I don't think I'd be signing a new contract, though. He seems really focused on trophies (and PL all-time scorer), and I would want to see tangible progress from this club that we're going to be a club that wins things. The evidence so far is not good.

One year left we don’t have much choice. Obviously if United offer a derisory figure like £50m then we just keep until he leaves but if it’s a respectable £80-90m that gives us the opportunity to get someone else in.

Might be wishful thinking, but I wouldn’t underestimate the family aspects to remaining in London.

A young family settled at pre-school/school, with friends and relatives close by, may prove a big factor in him considering staying at Spurs.

We can hope anyway!

If we don't get champions league there's surely zero chance of him staying. He can't be playing euro vase at 30.
