Why are we discussing who’d we buy to replace him? We literally have Brazil’s starting CF in our squad.
Totally agree. I think Richarlison can replace a decent amount of his goalscoring. It's the playmaking that we need to replace. That's the problem with losing Kane. It's like losing two players.

On SSN this morning they were saying Havertz to Madrid was the more likely. He must have an amazing agent. That's all I'd say. No wonder Poch wants rid of him.

I cannot understand how anyone that lived through Campbell would accept a star player's contract expiring when rivals are obviously sniffing around him.

20 years later I still get Arsenal fans sending me pics of that **** holding trophies. It will become written in history forever if he leaves on a bosman and wins something with a rival.

If there is a £100m offer from Madrid on the table, with a heavy heart, we should accept it. Unless people truly believe we could be relegated without him - which honestly it felt like at times last season.

Cannot see him going to R.Madrid, I think he'll want to break Shearers record.

Most likely he will run down his contract then Haaland will go to Madrid summer of 2024 as his dad and agent has said previously that Erling won't stay at City that long as he wants to play in many leagues, then Kane will sign for City on a free, if not then Man.U or another very well positioned PL team, perhaps even Newcastle by that point.

Levy has probably convinced himself they he can get Harry to sign a new deal. This level of delusion with the bald fraud would not surprise me.

Huh? Didn't Paratici spend the last few years building out our recruitment department to a more modernistic/data-heavy approach?
Hard to say what he did apart from appointing people, but whatever approach they were using they would have spent most of the last year scouting players to fit into Conte’s style and system, and now we’re gonna be playing a totally different style which requires different attributes. Now, some of the players may fit into both, but it’s not gonna be a joined-up and smooth running process.

Unless you're expecting Kane to go to Arsenal (never in a million years) then it doesn't bear any relation to Campbell.

We can't force Kane to sign a new contract any more than we can force him to go if we were to accept a hypothetical 100M bid from Madrid.

I wouldn't be surprised if both Madrid and Utd put in bids for him this summer, but I actually see it as strong mentality if Spurs were to turn those bids down... it would say that Kane is our best player and we value him more staying with us for another season than cashing in.

It's not my money, but I have no confidence that if we did receive circa 100M for Kane that we would reinvest it with the same quality. Kane is irreplaceable. I would rather keep hold of Kane and pray to the gods that we improve enough next season that he is swayed to continue his career with us.

I would LOVE it if Kane decides he will be a one-club man and sees out his career here, doing everything possible to help us over the next few years to win the elusive silverware.

Most of you guys have less ambition than Levy. We can’t be letting Kane go now if we want to rebuild. It would be stupid and negligent.

I have no clue why anyone would wish him luck at another club as the only club that should matter is us.

Also fuck Real Madrid (and Barca) they have distorted TV deals, bank loans etc for years to get where they are. It will be great for football when they go bust

Well I hope Levy has the ambition to spend some decent cash this summer as we are going to need it but I am expecting a sell to buy as we are out of Europe and that will be the excuse.

Yeah I’d still prefer to just keep Kane for next year and risk losing him on a free, but how badly does it reflect two of our top youth products eventually got so pissed off they wouldn’t sign new deals.

If we can get £100m from Madrid for him now then we’d be absolutely insane to turn that down unless he’s willing to sign a new contract.

As brilliant a player as he is, the uncertainty surrounding his contract situation has the potential to be a major distraction this season. We need clarity.

Yep, I sadly agree. Hate to see him go but unless he accepts the new direction and signs a new deal (which I personally think is very unlikely), not getting decent money for him would be criminal.

Rebuilding and replacing will not be easy but that’s surely what a recruitment team at a club is meant to be set up for. I have limited faith in ours but it’s easier to shop for a replacement with 100m in our pockets than zero

Hypothetically, if he went to Chelsea would it be on the same level as Campbell?

Agree with your take that for us and how we’ve played for a long time, he is irreplaceable - fact is though ( and perhaps this is just where I am with Spurs at the moment ) he’ll never win what a player of his calibre deserves with us. We had that chance under Poch to achieve something big, we blew it. Anything for him at this stage of his career in terms of staying, is a massive gamble.

Ultimately, he doesn’t get a say in staying for the next year due to his contract but I think losing him for nothing would be poor form and we’d be in the same boat next year trying to replace him but without the cash in our pockets
