I don't get why Bayern think he is desperate to leave now.

I'm sure he is open to it, but why would he kick up a fuss now when he only has a year left and then can do whatever he wants.

He didn't do It for Madrid or even United and Bayern aren't bigger than either of them.

Feels like a nothing story created by Kane's team to keep the pressure on the club to let them know they have the upper hand in everything here, which they do

It's all very odd.

If we know he'll leave at the end of it and we keep him for the season then we're paying £1.7m a week for the pleasure.
Better hope it's prime Kane and not sulky Kane we get.

I think we owe it to kane to make his choice. We should set a fixed price and a timeline (bar chelsea).

If someone offers it, then let kane chose.
I still dont get this thinking. What do we 'owe' him. Litterally took him as a kid who other teams wernt sure on, plouged loads of resourses into him to give him a career as a professonal footballer, where he has earned a fortune. Get it strait, if it wasnt for Tottenham, there is no Harry Kane England top scorer. There is Harry Kane, leauge 1 journeyman. He has had the best of everything to maximise his ability

Financially, leaving now is not in Kane’s best interests.

What leaving now does is take advantage of an opportunity that he might feel might possibly not be there next year.

But I’d have thought there would be more and better opportunities for him elsewhere in a year’s time.

So a Munich move this summer just seems very odd.

Even before considering he could be walking out of a team on the turn, where he is worshipped, where he’s close to home, where he knows he has a great chance to claim the PL. etc

And he has stuck with us, when he could have easily moved on. He has showed loyalty. It works both ways

We should set our stall out on a value, if bayern offer it, then we let him choose.

He hasnt stayed loyal, no one has offered an acceptable market value ammount for him. Ever. Where has he had a chance to show loyalty?

He has stuck with us because he signed an enormous contract a few years back. He couldn't have 'easily moved on' because Levy wouldn't sell him. I don't think loyalty has much to do with it.

I think the only sure way to win titles in england is to join City and the only way they do it is if he's on a free. If Spurs show signs of getting back in contention he might as stay rather than join Utd or Chelsea. If City doesn't come up maybe stay a bit longer and get the record here before heading abroad. Bayern and Real/Barca being sure to get him titles abroad. I wonder if next year we would consider a short contract for him to do that. I would love to see him get the record here but he needs an extra season for that. Who knows maybe he'll enjoy the football under Ange and stay a bit longer. Then leave in 3 years instead of 1 and head abroad. He would protect his legacy here if we were his only English club, if he got the all time record and then went abroad and won some titles. That would be ideal for me and I do think one of the giants will take him in 2 or 3 years.

He could have just not signed the contract. 🤷‍♂️. Loyalty works both ways.

It was said that we were actively looking to sell kane a year before his breakthrough

Pure speculation but wouldn't at all surprised if it's Charlie Kane (and his dad?) being completely out of his depth again.

Probably had a meeting with Bayern and told them everything they wanted to hear and now Bayern genuinely think Kane wants to leave when in reality he's probably flattered and happy to chat with Bayern but has little intention to actually move to Germany this summer. Don't think Bayern would be wasting their time otherwise. They must've been told Kane was keen by someone...

The whole Man City saga proved how clownish he is in negotiations and City also had a very skewed understanding of how much Kane would cost thanks to old Charlie boy.

This if he wants ‘guaranteed’ trophies in England, then the only team is Manchester City. They have a main striker now, so that move is surely less attractive.

He'd still get trophies even if he wasn't contributing much. Depends whether he wants a challenge or an easy ride to silverware.

I think we all know that Kane will be wanting to play every available minute, no matter where he ends up.
I can't imagine him accepting anything other than that, even for a few tin pots and especially when he's so close to his personal goal of highest pl scorer.
