I want my captain to be sensible. If he plays some pointless games for your national team after the period he's been through, that the opposite of sensible. If he keeps producing goals and assists like he is, he is undroppable in any case.

He can be sensible and still want to wear the England shirt with pride. Jesus it's like you're not allowed to want to play for or watch your country's games these days. I'm sure he'll be sensible about it. But I still take pride knowing the Spurs boy is leading by example.

Fair play to Gary Southgate, he’s respected the amount of games Harry and Eric played last week.

Harry Kane didn’t play any preseason matches. He needs games to build on his fitness. I really have no problem with him starting matches for England.

Also all this talk of Kane ‘breaking down’ the last few years from ‘overplaying my is revisionist. The first injury he got that could be related to overplaying was when he did his hamstring at Xmas. Every other injury he’s had that kept him out for a period time have been impact injuries which to his ankles that have nothing to do with playing a lot of games.

Aurier is captaining Ivory Coast tonight too.
All for it unless he breaks his hand again, putting on the band.

Great comment to call that out and weldone serg.

I remember getting excited when our players got call ups. We have come far.

I imagine this is nothing but fuck em - he best not play
Hmm, the fact that England haven’t released him back to Spurs makes me think they feel he can miss the Belgium game but be involved for their last one. Also says that he complained of tightness. Harry isn’t one to fabricate something to miss games but it doesn’t sound very serious either ?

Doesn't sound serious at all. I'm sure he'll be ready for West Ham.

Depends on whether England (and Kane) are daft and push him to be fit for Wednesday. But the use of the term ‘injury scare’ vs ‘injury blow’ suggests it’s nothing significant if managed correctly.

Im sure it isnt so serious but think what im concerned about is not west ham but that England play him anyways perhaps not tomorrow but mid week especially if we lose tomorrow...

I dont really trust England

Jose surely has to have a phone call with Southgate & Kane, he simply cannot be risked in either match.

Bring him back, Jose. I suppose the fact that Sonny, Bale and Vinicius will have had a couple of weeks training together might soften the blow but goddamn we can't lose Kane. Mourinho has done so well to manage the squad over the last few weeks, if we lose one or more players for any amount of time because of these goddamn ponced up friendlies... :cautious:
