I really do want to see us sign a good partner for him. I loved the Keane and Berbatov pairing and the Sheringham and Klinsmann partnership. Kane is the type of player that will be even more effective with someone alongside him. Plus I love seeing Kane drop into the hole to get on the ball at run at defenders. We have really missed those driving runs since Bale was sold. Add an intelligent striker making runs and pulling players around to create space for Kane and we'll score a lot more goals.

You could say it's Kane and Eriksen.

His name is Christian Eriksen, he is currently our top PL scorer with 7 league goals and if it were a choice of Kane or Eriksen in the 10 role, I think Eriksen would still be a no brainer.
You could say it's Kane and Eriksen.
As much as I rate Eriksen he is not a striker. He will score a handful of goals for sure but that's not enough to be considered as a strike partner. I think we need 2 strikers who have 15+ league goals a season each in them if we're to realistically mount a challenge for top 4 and challenge for trophies. The attacking midfielders need to chip in with goals too and Eriksen is doing that so far which is great.

The alternative is if we convert to 4-3-3 and play with 2 wide forwards each capable of around 10 league goals a season. Chadli is doing it so far but whether he can keep it up remains to be seen. Neither Towsend, Lamela or Lennon score enough though. We're getting there with Eriksen and Chadli scoring their share, we need the right sided attacker to start scoring and hopefully for them to keep it up throughout the season each chipping in with their share.

A post from 'redcafe':

"Personally I'd rather we signed him in the summer than Falcao. I don't think we will, but other better value deals like that could be what we go for instead of signing Falcao permanently."

He is a revelation. I doubted him but he is proving me wrong, which is great.
Boy has stamina, determination to drive forward and a little of everything when it comes to finishing (head/left foot/right foot/long shots). He isn't dumb either. Works tirelessly and actually gets a foot-in as opposed to doing that shadow-marking that most of our front 3 are happy with (Eriksen/Chadli main culprit).

Finishing (esp 1on1) and decision making still need work. Won't ever have the physique/ball skills to dominate (e.g. never going to match an Ade-on-song) but can't ask for more from Academy.

Ok that's enough. Enough of this fucking shit. He is ready and good enough now. No more talk of handling him with kid gloves. This guy is ready now. World class in the making.

Ricky Lambert said that Poch. was the first manager to ever teach him how to play as a lone striker. Looks like Kane is being similarly instructed.

Harry fucking Kane. Words just do not do justice to his story in the last few months. Utterly, utterly remarkable.
