I know, I agree but what it has to tail off somewhere and realistically we hold our breath everytime he goes down injured that alone may be enough to put teams off paying 100+
We hold our breath because we’ve needed another decent forward for 5/6 years and haven’t brought one in. Sons not the answer. Tbf if Kane’s off I would get shot of Son too. Scores goals in bundles and is shocking for long periods. I fucking hate what’s happening.

He's had a couple shockers but i think Reguilon, playing in a confident team will be top class.

The squad is so unbalanced and the signing just dont fit into what weve needed at all. This is why I have concerns with Hitchen.

Agree about Reg.

Do not agree about Hitch (there was a time not so long ago I did agree). Pretty much every single ITK has said repeatedly that he is excellent.

Trying to rebuild in the immediate post-pandemic window is going to be a nightmare because clubs will be even less inclined to buy players we need to shift.

Trying to attract quality players at a time when we have no European football, have just sold our star player and are in a period of massive upheaval is ALSO going to be a nightmare.

This is not the right time to sell.

But they will need the money and we will be rolling in it

What you mean is when we signed these players, you were not saying "Average players, don't want them". You are reacting with hindsight.

Just because you arent convinced, it doesnt mean they are bad signings.
FFS what does it matter what I think, I’m not picking players, people at the club are paid to make good signings, and that list is fairly average, if you are happy with that lot congratulations. A celebration of mediocre players, the recruitment at the club picked them and they are pretty average at best, that’s being generous. So no I don’t trust the recruitment as it stands the money has not been well spent and the football has been complete and utter shite.

It matters because you said you had no trust in the hierarchy to invest wisely, and evidenced that viewpoint with....nothing.

I'm trying to have a discussion about it with you, but whatever dude.

Evidenced with nothing..... what like the superb free flowing football we have played this season. The evidence is pretty strong given how mediocre at best and more often utter shite.

The thing that worries me about that is we kind of did before when we sold Berbatov and Keane in the same window. That proved a big mistake and I don’t think we should repeat it.

I know the general consensus is we wasted the Bale money but we did get Eriksen (and Lamela to an extent) that worked out pretty well. Chadli was okay for where we were. If we do get a big bundle for Kane then reinvesting in upcoming talents from Europe and the Championship seems the way to go to me, not all will work out but it spreads the risk.

If Kane does go then a bunch of our squad should go with him, but I’d keep Son for the following season at least until we can bed some of the new talent in under the new manager.

New manager, new team, new era. It’s the only thing we can do now in my onion.

Again, hindsight and not purely down to the players we have signed.

Inadmissable. At best.

You do you. Have a nice evening.

Lets be honest, Enic will not invest in the Squad, Spurs will need to do that of own pocket, We just need to sell kane and get rid of 4-5 more and actually build a new backbone, it is the only way forward. Start with Grealish, insane player, been out for months and looked class over all our midfielders/attackers.
What makes you think a player of Grealish's calibre would want to come to us?
A club that competes for big honours regularly?
Big salary?
Champions league?

Us fans need to get real. We should be looking at the next grealish as that is the best we can hope for. No world class player in their right mind is going to want to join such a toxic club that has no particular direction

How are you supposed to assess whether a player was a good buy without seeing how they do, over time? Surely by definition that always involves hindsight.

Yeah. That makes sense tbf. We need some stability I guess. But we all know winks and Dier will still be here next season.

Evidence that the people picking these players have picked poorly. What the F*** has hindsight got do with anything. Someone is either good at selecting players or not, our recruitment are good at selecting average players, we have average results, we are an average team.

if you want to give millions more to the same people fine, I’d rather it was put in the hands of someone else as the people that have invested havent spent very well at all.

Or maybe you're Hitchen.
It's OK I won't tell anyone.
Funny thing is that the same fans who are having a go at hitchen were raving about our business during the summer transfer window. Football fans are so fickle and have such a short memory span

The recruitment team don't have a crystal ball and the large majority on here were delighted with our business last summer.

Bit lazy to just go the way the wind blows.

I am worried that missing out on Europe will give Levy justification for ‘cashing in’ on Kane.

There is no justification at all for selling our club talisman, unless Kane himself totally forces a move.
