All hinges on this managerial appointment. Nothing will get done until after the Euros as well. He is just as likely to leave at this point as he is to give it one more year under the new boss. After his Neville interview, I think he is on the fence about it all and not 100% in one direction or the other. Always seemed like a level headed fellow, and he will take everything into consideration before making a decision.

Of course, from a club and business perspective, this summer would be the best chance to generate a higher fee after he finished top of both goals and assists. A decent Euros will add even more to the value.

yeah good article from Delaney. Biggest takeaways being that Levy will ask for £200M, and that Tottenham are financially a bit fucked.

The club chats so much shit. Our finances are very healthy and it's highly disingenuous to compare them to Man City's and Chelsea's to say "ours are worse than theirs."

No shit. Their payment method for incoming players is a duffel bag full of cash and a severed finger.

Who exactly is the club trying to convince with that? If Spurs sell him then they feel the cash is more valuable than the asset. Not that deep and personally I'd agree: take the cash and reinvest.

"We won't sell Kane for less than £200m btw we're a a bit fucked financial lol."

Harry kane is worth 200 million to the clubs that can afford to bring him in.

he does t make as much salary as the top stars in the premier league but he is worth more.

I would take levys stance as well.

Im not giving away a ferrari valued at 100m for 50m just because i enjoyed driving it for 10 years...

yeah good article from Delaney. Biggest takeaways being that Levy will ask for £200M, and that Tottenham are financially a bit fucked.

What he actually said was that the view from some external financial people (likely at other top 6 clubs) was that we were in the worst financial state of the top 6, probably looking at the stadium debt.

I struggle to believe Arsenal are any better off than us financially for starters, especially with no European football income at all next season. Then when you consider we have the lowest wages to turnover ratio I hardly doubt we are on the rocks financially.

It's possible that we lost out on the most money due to the pandemic seeing as our stadium income is more important to us than the oil clubs or Utd/Liverpool but that doesn't necessarily mean we are on the breadline either.

Same as when he earlier said a top 6 board source said they thought Kane was 100% leaving, unless that top 6 source is at Tottenham it's nothing more than an unsubstantiated rumour.

The area of concern Kane-wise was that he said City are preparing a package. If they pay up he will go. Seemed like Delaney was almost ruling out Utd currently. I just hope Levy plays hardball to get the best deal if he has to leave, we are a football club not a charity.

Real Madrid have just made Eden Hazard available for transfer. You’d assume he will be coming back to the premier league. I wonder how that might effect clubs chasing Kane. Not sure clubs would sign be able to sign both.

I always find it funny with a lot of our players saying they want to win trophies however when the opportunities come their way at Tottenham they don't make it happen and just freeze.
Kane has been part of the problem why we haven't won and must take responsibility with the other players....no doubt his done great on a personal level...not many will begrudge him the chance now age is a factor in his decision making.
I hope he stays because he wants to, and not force however If Kane wants out, I really hope Levy moves quickly to shift him (insisting on a deadline) so that a saga doesn't ensue and we are left scrambling around like muppets.

The world's best striker, England captain with 3 years on his contract.

Nothing less than 150m opens the bidding in a world of oligarchs and billionaire owners.

Irrelevant what he wants, where he wants to play or how quickly it 'must' be done.

BBC Player of the Season - and your winner is...
Now then people, our vote for Player of the Season has just closed, and the winner is... Tottenham striker Harry Kane!!

The England captain earned 21% of the vote to edge out Manchester City defender Ruben Dias (19%), winner of the FWA award for men's player of the year, and Manchester United forward Bruno Fernandes (18%).

If its a case of accepting £150M on transfer deadline day hour minute second or £125M before the euros we must take the latter so that we have a clear idea what we're doing.

Tottenham will move on regardless of any player...clarity and a clear strategy in our case is more important than profit or greed imo we're in a mess and must get things in place as best we can before the start of the season so that we're ready.

Levy has big decisions to make.

The point is that as a club we haven't done enough to serve him and one way or another have let him down.
I don't necessarily agree with that Shady. He's played in 3 finals and multiple semi finals in his 7 years, along with a few title challenges.

He's had the opportunity to make a difference in these high profile games and hasn't really.

Compare him to Bale, who made the difference to RM in 2 CL finals and a couple of Spanish cup finals by getting winning goals, the CL fi al against Liverpool being the prime example when they were losing and he came on to change the game.

H has had his opportunities, but hasn't delivered when those key games have come up, so you can't really say the club has failed him. The club provided the platform for him to get the glory he craves, but he didn't step up on those occasions.

Better yet offer him straight up to stupid money club like psg for 150/ 175m. And publically accept the offer if they make it.

Then let him argue a case that his 'boyhood club' should sell him for less at a detriment to themselves and to a direct rival just so he can chase shearers record.

Put it all in his court.

My point isn't about trophies bro, it's about progression.

The progression comes hand in hand with competing for trophies, I think if we were still challenging and in and amongst the CL places he'd want to stay or at least stat longer but subsequently we have fallen back.

He did say last year that if Spurs remained competitive he'd stay but we aren't.
