One positive to come out of all this is that the honour of being our all-time top scorer remains with a man who retains our affection and respect, and can rightly be called a legend. Cheers (Sir) Jimmy.

Come on Lukaku has been able to do it in the prem, over 100 prem goals at better scoring rate then the likes of fowler, cole, hasselbaink, , drogba

Ok, let me rephrase: He wasn’t good enough for Chelsea, and he wasn’t good enough for Man United.

Still can’t see how Harry fits in at City. He isn’t pressing from the front anymore, seems an odd signing for them.

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club gave him everything he needed to become the player he is today. Without us he wouldn’t have made it to be an England captain and one of the best strikers the PL has ever seen. But his means nothing to him it seems. We have had his best years I feel (I’m not saying he is finished by any means), and have a nice chunk of money when he goes.

This great club has lost a great player-its as simple as that.

But our club is more than any player. Any player. This club is now better off without him. We may not be better off immediately on the pitch, but we get going and move on.

You no longer deserve to wear our badge Harry-nobody can disrespect the club, your teammates and most importantly the fans.

Man City have gained another World Class mercenary- Its obvious that they will be very happy with that. If buying everything is your thing I suppose.

I’m just glad I am a Spurs fan and have a football soul.

Long live “doing it the right way”. Long live Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

p.s. do one Harry
Brilliant post mate very well said!

Wouldn’t say an odd signing because he’s the best ST in the world, but they have to play to his strengths as we’ve seen with England he can become anonymous if not

If city fans are talking about being classy, perhaps they should take a look in the mirror:

It's amazing how a billion pounds has changed an also ran into a powerhouse, just to hide the reality of who the owners are.

I find it hilarious that city are actively promoting LGBTQ when their owners treat it as a crime. It's pure cognitive dissonance.

People who fall for their money are obviously unable to look at anything from an ethical perspective.

Spot on. It’s a shame journos don’t ask the players and coaches about this kind of thing more often.

“So Harry, you must be delighted to be signing for a club who’s owners send people to prison for being gay. How do you think that matches up to you wearing a rainbow armband as England captain?”

Yeah thinking that myself. Also pep loves rotation whereas we know Harry likes to constantly play, dunno if he's going to like that.

He was about 18 when he was at Chelsea and played a handful of games (did pretty well while he was out on loan). He scored 1 in 2 for Utd. Has improved as a player.

120-130m and we can just about replace him with 2 forwards. If it's completed before we've brought in replacement we will struggle with 2 forwards for that price.
Not sure about you, but I'm gonna wait to pass judgement on all of this until September 1. So much depends on what Paratici and Hitchen can get over the line by the close of the TW. Also, we don't know all of the details yet about this deal. No one has said for certain whether or not it may involve player(s) moving in the other direction. EG: If Laporte and Bernardo were included on two year loan deals, we can say with some degree of certainty that both will be in our strongest starting XI. That leaves money for a new striker, CM, and RB. All of which we can go big. (Takehiro, Vlahovic, JWP). As the chances are, we may not have enough time to get both Vlahovic and Lauturo in the same window.

Who knows? It's all speculation at this point, right? Like I said... by Sept 1, we'll know if we are facing a bright new dawn, or if we have been completely shafted.

Am just glad it seems to be coming to an end and before the last week/few days of the window, had accepted him leaving a while back so don't really feel anything, just looking forward to seeing who we bring in and having a team consisting of players who all want to be at the club. Really excited to see who else we bring in though and hopefully Paratici has a few special signings lined up. Would love to have a fluid team that doesn't heavily rely on one player.

That’s the point though, are they really going to change the entire pressing dynamic to accommodate him? Seems unlikely.
