I don't think anyone wants Harry to leave. We all want him to stay. But it feels like he wants to go and this seems a better exit than other options.

Exactly

When he's trotting around in United's colours next season then they'll realise how shit a feeling that is.

That's like saying Messi wouldn't fit in the Stoke system so they're better off signing a big lump up front. It's ridiculous. You build your team around world class players.
I don't think it is like that. Ange has a very specific way of playing and Harry is not a natural fit for it. Of course, he'll always score a ton of goals for us, but what if we could score more team goals overall and be able to win the ball back more successfully, which has been a major problem for us imo.

Fucking working tomorrow so up at 4.30am. No doubt I'll wake up to 50 new pages and have to go through them one by one before I can get up and have a wash and go to work. Guess I'll be late tomorrow.

I’d love to see the media team tweet there will be an announcement at midnight, watch the excitement build in Germany, and then announce some further Beyoncé dates.

I disagree as it depends.

Does Pep do that at City? Or does he look to use a system that gets the best out of all?
Right - we've been so dependent on Harry for so long (apart from Sonny's epic golden boot) and I think we've forgotten that it doesn't need to be like that, especially to be successful at this level. When was the last time that a team so dependent on one player won a major trophy?

She was the real Kane replacement all along and we never saw it coming

You don't build around a player that very likely will be off in a years time. The time to build around Kane was 4 years ago, but we didn't and here we stand.

Regardless of the outcome, Kane has to be commended for managing this entire situation with utmost professionalism and respect for the club.

Yeah but we'd be building the team around him for a year and then he'd likely be fucking off anyway for free. And probably to direct rival.

I think there are very strong arguments for both keeping for a year and cashing in and neither are ridiculous at all.

And why do you build a team around a 30 year old who doesn't appear to want to be here anymore, or at least is keeping his options very much open.

You build around a core of committed and talented individuals who'd run through brick walls for you.

Who'll put the team above all us.

I can’t see us confirming anything until Monday. It’s not gonna a good atmosphere at the friendly on Sunday knowing we’ve sold our best ever player.

My main reason for being perfectly fine with Kane going isn’t even evidence-based. It’s because we’re Tottenham, and therefore it’s the most Tottenham thing ever if we win a trophy as soon as he leaves. After he’s spent years carrying us on his back without silverware. I actually believe that’s gonna happen, just how this weird club works.

I think I was about 12/13 too.
I had been saying to my United supporting mates that Sheringham was Tottenham and wouldn't leave and then I remember going downstairs that Saturday morning to my Dad saying "Sorry, son, got some bad news" whilst holding the back page of The Sun.

Shat in my cornflakes well and truly.
Teddy’s up there with my favourite spurs players, massively underrated in a time where 442 only existed but he let us down
