Y'know I would almost be happy to take the money and wish him well rather than every press conference, every match commentary, every radio show and every MOTD be filled debating what happens in 12 months. It sounds miserable for every one.

Almost.

Numb. Disillusioned. Angry. Very angry.
Ninth richest club in world football decides to accept an offer for a player who has come through the ranks to become the most complete CF in world football.
Didn’t cost them a penny. Won’t ever replace him.
Desperate to get something for him or scared of him going to a PL rival on a free, either way to be in this position 48 hours before our first game is just pathetic, yet again.
H is Tottenham, antics on both sides obviously but there’s only one way my anger is directed at.

Because for a huge transfer like this their primary concern isn't announcing it as quickly as possible at a weird time without fanfare. There's a huge PR angle to it on all sides.
Spurs won’t have any interest in delaying something just because it works better for Munich. And it’s not uncommon for selling clubs to simply state that they have reluctantly accepted an offer.

Spurs will want to spin the narrative, as will Kane, as will Bayern. I'm not saying this is the reason for the delay. I'm just saying the objective of none of the parties is rushing out a quick note to say it's done.

That's me off to bed in the hopes that Matt law breaks another exclusive at around 6am repeating the Jose appointment breaking news but this time with actual positive news for spurs that Kane is staying. We deserve a nice thing after the last 4 years.

Ohhh am I missing something? What went well? They brought players from a scrapheap, except Eriksen. :)
Those players were actually decent, maybe not Paulinho. AVB destroyed them, much like Conte, and by the time Poch came in they were too broken to fix

I meant didn’t get massively fleeced on transfer fees (ie we didn’t pay £30m for Chadli).

If I’m this Gift Orban’s club Chairman I’m adding €15m to the fee if we rock up there tomorrow having sold H.

“Scrapheap” - Lamela and Soldado? At the time they signed both were in peak form and very highly rated. Both were targets before Bale left and not panic buys.

in fact, Vlad had a very good reputation as well and Paulinho was a full international on the back of a decent tournament. Chadli gave decent service

And in the end Soldado was the only one where we really lost our financially.

Lamela too much injured, and was already missing his two hips. Paulinho didnt seem like he had any. Chadli was good though!
Vlad, Capoue and Soldado. I dont want to start on them.

But I hope we'll have more success on the pitch we our players after Kane.
