its a report on an old media report (October).

He hasnt signed a deal as far as any reports and is still only on loan. They have the option to buy. Will be down to Holtby

He won't likely get back into the first team even if he did come back. No big loss, and a player who really didn't offer anything more than what we already have.

My understanding of the situation is that Hamburg invoked the buy clause but it is now down to Holtby himself. I have seen nothing yet saying he wants to stay there, although if he is getting regular game time i don't see why he wouldn't.

Which is as shame IMO. I think Poch could have made good use of his abilities.

HSV are currently in a relegation battle, surely he'll wait and see if that changes?

I loved his attitude and energy. A friend of mine who is a big fan of German football said when we signed him that it was the best business we'd done in years. Lewis has never been given a chance at Tottenham, which has baffled me. Maybe he's not put the effort in during training or something?

More bang average players please. No coincidence he couldn't get in Fulhams side when they got relegated, and is now playing week in week out for a side that cannont score (9 in 17 league games)

All very well running around like a tit but not when your quality suffers for it.

If that's definite, it's a shame. He provided midfield creativity that was often lacking (and still is) and has a decent shot too.

Not sure who has told you that, he was there for 15 games and played in 13 of them.

My Bad, must have been hauled off early when I saw him looking miserable on the bench a few times in the crucial running.

Yes he was....5 of the last 6 games to be precise.

I think the urgency with which Holtby plays would suit Pochs style.
Could have done with him against Palace imo.
We're not exactly overflowing with choices when Bentaleb and Mason are out.
