Greedy slimeball... On and off the pitch.

Kind of in jest but in all seriousness doesn't seem that amicable as a bloke and his is too selfish to go down as anything else but a poacher.

Misguided, I'm afraid. Stop reading bad newspapers and Heat...

So he rumped a few glamour models and fat birds. who cares? Footballers have hamptons that need wetting as well.

He doesn't even drink.

Do you dispute that two years ago his performances on the pitch had been on a long slide which it looked like he wasn't going to pull out of ?

If so , how do you explain that he did manage to pull out of it ?

It's not easy to be a legend for a club. Plenty of quality players don't even make that accolade. Put it this way, take a look at the scum down the road. RVP has had a better season last year than Defoe ever will/has and practically gave them Champions League football on his own. Without that they'd be in an even worse position this year. Despite this, he will never be a club legend for them regardless of his switch to Utd.

To be a legend is also about your attitude, not just your performance. You've got to live a breath the club and be a fan and not just a player.

I'm not sure exactly the point your referring to, but in 2009-10 he scored 24 in 39 starts for us, and the year after, it was Crouch and Vaan Der Vaart, and Defoe still managed 1 in 2 starts despite being obviously out of the picture.

So this fictional slide, has not been disimilar to his entire career at Spurs, playing second fiddle to Keane, Berba, Bent, Kanoute Mido and whoever else we've had. (Rasiak maybe aside!!!)

Not a legend for me.......but he has a few years left in which he could get there.

123 goals is good, but spread over almost 9 years.......well, I would kind of expect that from an international striker.
