Understand the request, but if we produce a list of what we deem are the best connected ITKs, and the ones most worth listening too it's probably only going to encourage an attitude that we don't want towards others.
The best way to read ITK is to see it all as a rumour. People pass on things they hear in good faith. They might get info first hand from a board member, or a second from a mate or from a journo. They could be fed a real nugget of info, or a party line from the club, or a load of rubbish.
The type of info given is liable to change as well. An ITK getting something right once or twice, doesn't mean the next time it will be, the source could have changed tact.
The other thing to bear in mind, is how complicated transfers are, and how quickly they can change. Because a player doesn't sign, doesn't mean the info wasn't right to a certain extent.
Treat it all as rumour, a bit of fun and take it with a pinch of salt and you'll enjoy it and be fine.

So just because your not in the transfer forums doesn't mean you can abuse the ITK's.

One of the stalwarts of the site (and I apologize as I am not sure who but maybe SS57) actually tried to do a compilation of each ITK and would label their entry as "red" for wrong", blue for "correct" and black for "can't be proven right or wrong". If you haven't figured out where I am going with this, let's just say he didn't have to use red or blue very often.
It's the nature of their style. You can't throw a metric on "Heard we have inquired about Drogba" unless Levy comes out and says (and do you think he would?) that we haven't. They do not use definitive language because that will only get them attacked. So you can't grade them.
In the long run, just enjoy it as a summer activity. There will become ones you like better than others. But in the long run, they are only important in so much as any individual feels the need to have knowledge before others. Nobody really needs ITK because at the end of the day, you're going to know what transfers have taken place by the end of the window.
On it's good days, the TR thread is absolutely brilliant with a lot of good-natured talk. On it's bad days, it's as bad as being the weakest guy in a jail block...you'll feel like you've been through a knife-fight and a day of sodomizing.
