39 years in a coma seems cruel to me. This poor guy died in 1982, not this week.

However, I can assure you that being in a coma isn't necessarily like being dead.

You DO hear (some) things. You DO feel (some) things. And you have some of the most harrowing visions/hallucinations that you could possibly imagine.

Things such as being kidnapped at gunpoint, seeing loved ones who are no longer with us, and even things like being raped.

Trust me. You'd rather be dead!
