Hell bent on missing out on another trophy, I can see Defoe asking for a move in january.
The funny thing about it is that England isn't looking at Defoe as a starting candidate,
what he might have as a role for the three lions is just the same as we want him to do at Spurs.
The role of the impact sub.

Milner is top class, S
Whereas the likes of Milner, Smalling, Oxlade-Chamberlain etc will get called up whether they play for their clubs or not.

Milner is world class.. skilful, creative, subtle and pacey...Only joking, He's all that's wrong with English football.. all effort and fuck all ability.. right up Woy's street then.

This.

Before the Ukraine game all the media were saying about the striker situation being a crisis. OH MY GOD WELBECK IS SUSPENDED, ROONEY AND STURRIDGE INJURED! WHO CAN WE PLAY UP FRONT THAT WILL SCORE?!

Erm, we have Jermain Defoe who is always capable of getting a goal and has scored a fair few for England in his last few games for the national side. I swear England managers have something in for Defoe. He rarely gets a look in, yet like Crouch did well when called upon. How several players get called up (and START) is a mystery when call ups should be based on form in the weeks prior to the international break, not the name and reputation of the player or who their club is (yeah I'm looking at you Milner and Cleverley!).

Dawson never gets called up, and he worked his ass off to get back in the Tottenham side and is the typical English defender that surely Woy would want.

I'm reading some of the comments in here from Spurs "fans" and shaking my head, player wants to play for Spurs and desperately wants to get in the team and apparently he deserves vitriol and he's moaning, some fans eh...

Said before that we know about his limitations as a footballer and is frustrating as the next guy but don't look for excuses to slate him in order to fit your pathetic agenda, he's a Spurs player and a player who's been around with us for a long time - he deserves better so get off his back.

Are you saying that you disagree with my point that he hasn't developed? Or jumping to the defence of a player that's been around a long time?

He's giving a frank and honest assessment of where he THINKS he needs to be, but the fact remains there needs to be more to his game and he's failed to recognise that his entire career.

Nope, I'm saying that he isn't moaning, it's an interview and he's answering a question honestly and openly.

He hasn't come out and blasted the manager for not playing him, or being treated unfairly he's just recognising the fact that he needs games to get into the England setup.

Pretty simple maths isn't it. (y)

Agree, 133 goals for our club and some " so called" fans can not wait to have a pop. (n)

going against the grain here but i think we'll see an improvement from jermain now we have the likes of eriksen/lamela/holtby/siggy etc playing behind the striker, players who'll slip passes through, rather than getting down the line and whipping crosses in.

That will only be of any benefit if he has learned the offside rule over the summer though
