We paid £10m for him I think, £20m seems a touch high just Daniel being Daniel I guess.

If he were some new bright and shiny talent £20m would be a fair price. Throw in his top level experience and I’d say even more so.

12mil would be appropriate, in my opinion. All things considered good for both parties
For an international level CB? With top flight experience? Playing for a championship team fighting for promotion? Likely to be considered for team of the season?

Thank God you’re not negotiating on behalf of the club.

Ibou Touray from Stockport County is an international level defender.

Joe Rodon is a player we've actively been trying to get rid of for two years, has one year left on his contract, hasn't attracted Premier League interest and has only performed well at Championship level. A £12m sale in those circumstances would be a great result.

They're moaning about £20m?
In the Premier League that basically gets you a child from a lower league with potential nowadays.
Not an experienced international defender that still has many years ahead of him.

Swap for young Archie Gray . Only 17 can play right back , or a 6,or 8 in midfield

I guess this means that we're going in with the top price that we hope to get and expect to recieve a counter-offer from another club who want to buy him at the lowest price possible before settling somewhere between the two.

I'm not sure these shocking negotiating tactics have been seen before. Lets see how this plays out.

But one that the selling club has absolutely no interest in keeping and has barely made a match day squad in multiple seasons now.

If he was highly sought after there'd be competition to drive the price up then maybe we get to 20 but doesnt seem the be the case right now.

or a Man C youth player with zero first team experience.

£20m is more than fair for a defender who has both shone and been a vital part of what looks like Leeds return to the Premiership. With Leicester faltering they could potentially win the Championship.

Leeds spent circa £23m on Rutter based purely on potential and £11m on an average Championship striker in Piroe yet they’re baulking? at £20m for Rodon. Good luck to Leeds if they think they can get better value elsewhere. They’ll be heading back to the Championship if they’re not smart with their signings.
