I saw him play there a lot when he was at Hibs.

do you watch hibs a lot? I’ve always had a soft spot for them after spending 4 years on their books as a youngster. Was planning on taking in some games before Covid hit, haven’t been to Easter road in years

Watched most of the game, wasn't that impressed with him if I'm honest. Not a commanding CB who will come in and dominate. Decent on the ball with pace and aerial ability but his positioning looked all over the place at times and I think he'd get bullied by a clever CF.

He's got raw talent so sure at <12m worth the investment but if it's around the 20m mark, May as well wait for Skrniar

Yes, it is a matter of opinion not fact, but this entire discourse begun because you stated as fact that he hasn’t progressed since signing and was not a first choice centre back, despite him having started most of our matches this season, so I hope the irony of you resorting to saying ‘that’s just your opinion’ isn’t lost on you. See below:
He is not 1st choice, he is 2nd choice and that i get from what Mourinho ses.

Funny thing is you just got completely destroyed rating wise, as i have previously when ever suggesting Sanchez won't make it as a top tier CB.

Once again, people keep going on about what age was VDD, Toby or Jan when they came to the premier league etc. The difference between them and Sanchez, is that even before they moved here you could tell each of them had a brain and game intelligence. Sanchez doesn't or hasn't shown it at all. Even our manager targeted him at Ajax in the Europa league final.

Then the next argument, Sanchez has pace. Pace means nothing if you don't know how to use it. 9/10 Sanchez faces pace or power, the two things people make out are his strengths, he loses out. He doesn't read the game well and positional poor, so his pace isn't that great because majority of time he is 2 yards in the wrong position. Toby and Jan was a way better pairing, they both are average athletes, but miles ahead when reading / understanding the game. This can't be taught (well rarely), if it can, Sanchez isn't learning, in 3 years he has shown no progression in this area.

Finally what people say, every CB makes mistakes and then show that one mistake by VDD. Comparing Sanchez to VDD is like comparing Harry Winks to Luka Modric. Sanchez is way off VDD and do people on here really think he has the ability to get close to his level. I have very little confidence in that, until he can actually dominate a fast / powerful forward consistently i can't agree with this, as in most cases he loses out or looks wreck less.

Looking forward to the negs, again from the Sanchez fan club.

Getting back on track, this Rodon kid looks to have potential. But more importantly has two aspects to his games we are a little weak in, aerial dominance and pure strength. For the right price would be happy to see what he can do. Lots of Championship followers really rate him and that usually bodes well.
I know hysterical isnt it, all they ever talk about is pace, they'll be shouting for Usain Bolt next, anyway lets see where he is 1/2 way through next season.

Davinson Sanchez is a fantastic centre back. Within two years he will be recognised as one of the worlds best if he continues to develop under King and Mourinho at the rate he has post lockdown. I can’t believe some people on here that watch him match after match can only see his mistakes which are more and more less frequent and against some of the best attackers in world football. His good qualities far outweigh the bad. Joe Rodon is a much rawer player who would also be much improved by working at Spurs but why would you move if you knew a section of the fan base are going to destroy you for every error?

Why the name calling and why is someone a gammon because they disagree with you ?
Is his name calling calling any different to calling anybody who disagrees with a put down of a player the ‘player’s fan club’? Aware it was the other guy not you, but I assume you’re equally perturbed by that belittlement as you are by Spurrifics.

To be fair he'd probably get in Utd's but i'd probably get in there's

Because a person doesn't rate a certain player doesn't mean that they hate him, so run along with your childish comments.
