I think 2 from each position is plenty but to be fair if we stay in all the comps and have 3 games and week then you're right that we are one injury away from saying 4 isn't enough so yea good point.

Issue is more the size of the squad we can register so who drops out?

I'm no expert but i thought 25 players is max that can be registered and we have a lot of good players now:

Either way squad is looking incredible now, this is the kind of squad depth which can compete on multiple fronts.

Roden signing would be very astute indeed to complete the puzzle especially if Tanganga has some injury concerns.

Agree though Skiniar would the final "missing" puzzle i reckon.

Great to get a promising cb like Joe to booster our ranks though

Mabye next summer we could look to sell Toby and buy Skrinjar perhaps, but if Roden and Tanganga step up big time we might not need him. That 5 we would now have have a bit of everything and this Roden does look a real talent.

Basing on my exceptional Football Manager expirience, Tanganga may be considered as u-21 so he wouln't take that spot, at last for Premier League

The fact that CCV is going is pretty much confirmation that Roden is done. Don't think they would have let him go especially with Tanganga injury concerns.

5 CBs isn’t too many - we’ve got 3 games a week from now as standard and in some games we may go with a back 3. One injury and suddenly 4 CBs wouldn’t seem enough.

It’s too many. If we’re serious about giving Tanganga opportunities then signing a 22 year old is going to limit those chances. We’re not going to have 3 matches a week for the whole season.

The ‘one injury away from...’ argument is ridiculous as well.

When Dier & Tanganga are fit, it’ll be 5 and 6 with Davies. Dier’s injury doesnt seem to be a long term thing and he’s only a doubt for this Sunday. Tanganga’s is clearly a bit different. But Sunday is the only day we have an issue with 2 fit recognized CB’s and Davies who could play there. Hopefully Dier is back for Thursday as Rodon is out for Europe until January at the earliest.
