Honestly if he was on the pitch, we don’t concede the balbuena goal and we also don’t concede the Sanchez one

He should just start the next league game if either one of Dier or Toby not able to, like how Dias just started for Citeh. The confidence level of this lad is sky-high - never the meek and lost feeling Sanchez exudes.

Burnley is a game that is will siut Joe. I wouldn't trust Sanchez against Victoria Wood let alone Chris Woods im the air.

Excited by this lad but he's too young to Be The Answer this season.

However, judging by today's last ten minutes.....
He’s turning 23 not 18. By this age Harry had scored 50 premium league goals, bale was in the season before becoming the richest player in the planet etc. 23 isn’t exactly young

I say get Rodon in ASAP.

This season we’ve conceded 8 goals. 3 of those have been penalties through defensive errors (sorry, Eric. Technicality). 5 of those have been from crosses into the box either from lateral free kicks or passes over the defence. We have conceded 2 goals from open play.

This tells me there’s not a lot wrong with our defending in open play and it’s more down to errors from set pieces. Joe Rodon is 6 ft 4 and I’ve been reliably informed that if you throw a brick at him, he’ll head it back. Get him in. Now.

He's never played a Premier League game in his life. He doesn't qualify for Europa as far as I know so he can't be eased in there unfortunately. We want to win the League Cup.

Heck of a lot of pressure on the bloke. ..Still, we are abject at the back. Bring on Burnley..

He's a defender not a striker so not a fair comparison as defenders reach their peak at 26-27

That isn't some rule written in stone you know. If he's good enough, he's old enough. He's only a year younger than Sanchez.

I think this is the point here. Experience in that position is vital. We're not winning a trophy with a guy whose last game was in the Championship some of you need to accept this.

He has over 60 first team appearances in the Championship and is a full international.

I didn't say there's a rule written in stone, the point is at 23 he will have inconsistent performances and make mistakes so hopefully he won't get thrown under the bus when this happens.

Are we winning trophy's with a defence that can't stop leaking goals?

And until we play him, his last game will always be a game in the championship.
If the club see him as a better option than Sanchez or Toby then o see no reason not to throw him in.

I can't think of any other PL game King or Tanganga had before being thrown in against Liverpool.
