Looked decent against Sheffield United. That’s the kind of game you wanna give a new player his debut. Have two fellow CB at his side kinda makes a bit easier. Looked a little bit shaky and nervous at times but had some good interceptions and the one where he made up for Dier being sloppy was good. Hope to see more of him and hopefully he can pair up with Tanganga some time

I like him. A lot of potential. Better than sanchez in my opinion who also has a lot of potential but lacks composure.

Joe made his debut against Chelsea away. He looked good in that game too, one mistake aside.

Can accept him making mistakes but what the fuck was dier doing on that first goal that was shocking.

feel for the lad was our best centre back but made that error for the 3rd goal but that shows hes still too raw and should not be playing next to that donkey dier as that wont breed any confidence. toby and rodon should be our starters every epl game. very impressed with him today

I agree, quite surprised at Tobys lack of games but Rodon has shown much promise in his few games

Him and Toby should be a decent mix of youth/experience with Toby playing the progressive passes and Rodon played it a little safer on the ball, and Rodon recovering for Toby's lack of pace in defence.

Can't be any worse than some of the shite tonight.

For me if I have a player that makes only one mistake in a very good performance then we have to support him.

Think he will end the season as our best defender

He was asked if some of the defenders (excepting Rodon) are not good enough.

His answer was "those are your words and not mine".

The fact that he didn't really dismiss the question says a lot. I'm expecting big changes in the defence this summer.

He's very young for a starting CB and new to the league. No point in comparing him to seasoned premier League players yet.

Thought he was decent. Can be rash at times but expected for his age. Seems have good pace and an aggressive style which are definitely things we often lack defensively.
