These players aren't rubbish. Sissoko, Toby, Dier, Aurier, Dele, Winks were all prominent in Spurs teams which challenged for the title and reached Champions League finals. If they've all gone totally to pot and are only mid-table standard, you have to question the coach.
Did you post that with a straight face?

Didnt he say he had new ideas etc? well obviously that was weird

The thing is apart from the everton game to thr west ham game we started to click and yeah we werent great defensively but attack wise we were good.... then he went into his shell fromt he west ham point onwards....
Too much chopping and changing of personel and formation imo.

Players went from being flavour of the month to outcasts and just lost confidence.

Add to that the horrible style of football and you can see how things went downhill from a squad morale point of view.

Ordinally would say get to the end of the season before making a change but what we are seeing at the moment is some of the worst displays on show for a long time and not sure how Levy can realistically let this carry on. Watching them, it doesn't feel as though the players really buy into the managers methods and are not responding to them.

Due to the lack of options out there and the current climate, don't think Levy will act after this game. Maybe if the fans were there for the last few games, it would really have forced his hand. He'll probably back Mourinho to get a result against WBA (not very confident myself and think Allardyce will really be fancying his chances) and try and use that as a springboard for some decent results but after today I'm struggling to see things changing simply because it looks like Mourinho has lost this group of players.

I wish Jose would just hire an assistant coach that specialises in attacking football and simply tries to attack from the start. I just wish he didn't lie when he joined saying he had this new approach. I really fell for that.

I cannot take this low block ultra defensive shit from the start any further. I'm done.

We do not look like we have any clue whatsoever what to do with the ball. I can honestly say this is the worst football I've seen us play in my 36 yrs lifetime. Awful awful awful.

Yes. Look at 16-17 Spurs vs Chelsea for instance. Toby, Dier, Dele all started, with Sissoko and Winks coming off the bench. All did very well, we won 2-0, we ended up 2nd in the league on 86 points. They're not all world beaters (although Toby and Dele really weren't far off the top level at that point). But they're more than good enough players to succeed when they're lining up with the likes of Kane, Son, Hugo Dembele/Ndombele, Rose/Reguillon. We're not getting anything like the best out of what we've got right now.

Jose: "It was a bit of a struggle but how many chances did they have? We didn't have the ball, correct, we didn't create in the first half, correct. But the struggle was the penalty. In the end a penalty decides the game."

Reminder: 18 shots for them.

Won't Nagelsmann be excited when he has to play a combo of Sissoko, Winks, Davies, and Aurier each week with Dier in the backline :cautious:

This is fully end of cycle. Proper back-to-back-defeat, AVB-out, end of cycle.

Haven't felt this shit about Spurs since that snake Sherwood was in charge.
