Can anyone remember the year Poch got sacked, I posted in September he wouldn't make to Christmas. Due to the behind the scenes stuff that was going on his position would become untenable???

Got a few neg reps and disagrees for that post iirc.

Well how far away is valentine's Day?

I've just told the girlfriend that Valentine's Day is going to be special, I hope Levy doesn't let her down.

I can see him getting the sack, and I can see the next manager suffering exactly the same fate in 12 - 18 months unless about half of that squad is shipped out.

They’ve ended the Spurs careers of 2 elite managers now.

I think the second half was enough of an improvement for Levy to give him more time. I'm not sure how much time though.

I personally still can't see the sense in sacking him now unless we have someone genuinely better to come in - who is that?

we can’t continue to blame players when our in game tactics are so dreadful. One shot on target , there’s teams with worse players playing more pro active football eg- west ham
Continue to blame them? We've been backing them for nigh on three years and outside of a few performances, they've been serving us dreck on a consistent basis. Outside of Kane, the only consistency this squad has is their inconsistency.

Why should they be exempt to paraphrase an earlier comment?

Jose: "It was a bit of a struggle but how many chances did they have? We didn't have the ball, correct, we didn't create in the first half, correct. But the struggle was the penalty. In the end a penalty decides the game."

Reminder: 18 shots for them.

It does if your whole game plan is to draw, not to win. Number of attacks, shots, shots on target were all pathetic.

You've been patient all along like me but I think I've turned tonight because the players aren't responding now and we're just going backwards at an alarming rate, are you still Jose in or are yo Jose out now?
No, I think im like you, mate.

With patience you have to see something. And I was for a while. Back in December I felt that the structure defensively was fine but players like Sissoko and Winks hamper it because of their limitations. I felt that a new CM and Lo Celso returning would allow his style to function better as I did see flashes and of course those wins vs United, City and Arse were all fresh in the memory.

I also felt he could build on Son ans Kane's partnership by getting Bergwijn and Bale firing.

However, its not happening. We are getting even worse in attack, even with Kane. Vini, Bale and Bergwijn cant step up and I don't think its down to them lacking something.

Defensively, we can't rely in this structure cause there are too many individual mistakes. Another coach would find a way to keep the ball away from danger areas to limit mistakes. Yet we get deeper and the likes of Dier get worse and worse.

The midfield just cannot get any form of control. I still stand by the fact our CMs are average other than Ndombele and Lo Celso - Hojbjerg is great at his job but isnt a progressive player in the sense we need. But even then Ndombele cannot maintain form or help us to dominate.

On top of that the players look fed up. Just going through the motions. I had a class today with a professional player in France and I asked him about how it is without the fans, he told me that its really hard. Imagine our bunch, they need motivating at the best of times, although they'd probably be getting booed heavily right now.

So, yeah, I just don't see how he turns it around unless hes able to kick out about 6 players and bring in 4 or 5, which won't happen.

The club needs to go back in the direction of hoovering up top young talent with a few bigger players with a coach who'll get them on the ball and get them attacking

Relegation form from a team that looks possibly one of the worst in the league. The players have totally lost all confidence and are hiding on the pitch, the team has no real shape or obvious plan. Jose is done - get a caretaker in for the rest of the season and get the likes of Skipp and Sess back in the summer and put them into the squad. Get a young, up and coming manager in who plays attacking football and then back him.
What like Pochettino, who they downed tools for as well?

Yes. Look at 16-17 Spurs vs Chelsea for instance. Toby, Dier, Dele all started, with Sissoko and Winks coming off the bench. All did very well, we won 2-0, we ended up 2nd in the league on 86 points. They're not all world beaters (although Toby and Dele really weren't far off the top level at that point). But they're more than good enough players to succeed when they're lining up with the likes of Kane, Son, Hugo Dembele/Ndombele, Rose/Reguillon. We're not getting anything like the best out of what we've got right now.
16-17? Just the four years ago mate.

Coolbeans.
