If I was the owner after these shambles and the shambles from the last manager I wouldn't give them too much to spend. You think we could get more from the players we have. The truth is we are lacking some balance. Realistically we need 2 players for sure if Dier is not right for the job and for the RB position.
Lo Celso is not looking too good either but we have enough its the defence we need to strengthen 2 players
Levy is partly to blame for the mess we are in. Not signing players for two windows is not standing still but regressing. Even when we were flying high we were 2 or 3 signings away from winning a major trophy but he would not spend.

It could Poch, Jose, Pep or Klopp, the problems would still be there for all to see.
Giving Toby or Sissoko a new contract highlighted the problems at Spurs.
Changing the manager wasnt going to be the fix. It was time for a painful rebuild.

Skipp was the only option and Jose clearly doesn't think hes ready.

Must buy at least 1 CDM, but in reality we need 2.

I really like Skipp not sure he is strong enough as a DM now. He isn't. But maybe he would d better than Lo Celso really who hasn't shown hardly anything

The Maureen bounce is over. That was as abject a performance as we've seen. Kane flogged to death. Hoofball all first half with predictably lame outcome. Shapeless side with zero penetration. Aurier still stinking the team out. Ndombele either very unlucky or made of glass. What a fucking mess.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I’m not blaming Mourinho, just saying a lot blamed Poch for this and thought Mourinho would be able to solve it
He might but it's going to be a longer-term job than perhaps people thought. There's clearly something amiss with the current side.

I said Poch made these players look better than they are and he should be last out the door at the time the pressure was on, but the mob on this site declared him a flukey manager who could only motivate and mourhino the winner would get this top top squad winning big games
He said the squad needed rebuilding and the time to do it but the pitch forks were out in force, rebuild the squad?? This is the best squad we've had they said, Poch is just making excuses lol

Well enjoy Jose, Absolute has been of a manager who's best days of tactically being superior are well over

We’re playing without a clear spine at the moment. And the bits that are clear are being over worked to compensate for the rest of the deficiencies. It’s just some bone and some wobbly flesh.

Lots of work to be done.

Thought he would of done better with the players we had tbh. Todays result is well and truly the nail in the coffin for this team.

We / Mourinho needs players in January. No good waiting for Summer, that will just put us further behind.

The bloke has been in the job 6 weeks, started mid season effectively. The squad is clearly not good enough as Poch found out at the end. We were heading towards the bottom 3 and something had to change.

Nothing against Mourinho but Levy made the wrong decision. Mourinho needs money to implement his ideas and we all know Levy.
Pochettinho knew we had to spend and get rid of players but we all know Levy.

The performance against Southampton is unacceptable and certain players need to be shipped out and we all know Levy.
He hasn’t had any opportunity to spend money yet though so why don’t we hold court for a little while!
Absolute shite at present but don’t bring the poch/Mourinho argument in. This whole forum is full of it.

He isn't likely to get supported in the January window we need to get used to these performances until the summer.

Get that chequebook out sharpish. Jose doesn't seem the type to fanny about. Haven't seen his post match interview but I sincerely hope he says there will be changes

It’s not Mourinho fault but imo he’s not the manager to take us out of this, he’s done nothing to convince me he will solve this mess, unless we spend a lot of money but I can’t see that happening

I said it at the beginning I would rather us get rid of every player Poch didn’t want/didn’t want to be here than sack Poch
